I'm just curious as to how many different opinions we have here.
I'd obviously want to keep Ben for the rest of his career.
I'd give Lance Moore a few more years here. He has the veteran experience our younger receivers and it doesn't hurt that he can catch. I'd get rid of DHB. With Bryant getting some play time- we really don't need DHB. I feel stupid for even saying this but I don't know how long we signed Blount for. 1 or 2 years? I'm hoping it's 2. He's a good compliment to Bell. As long as they stay away from the wacky tobaccey. (My Pap used to call marijuana that- Ha) At times I don't mind Haley but sometimes I don't think he knows what he's doing. So I may get rid of him. With Tomlin, I may keep him for 1 more year.
Defense- I'd keep Keisel for 2 more years. He's proven that he still got it. I'd get rid of James Harrison (again) and Cortez Allen. I love Dick LeBeau- but if it's true that it takes 3 years to get his defensive system- he needs to retire and let someone else take the reigns. What do yinz think?

For some players, it's difficult to say - at the moment, for example, given the choice between him and DHB, I'd keep Moore and let DHB go at the end of the season. BUT that could change if DHB starts getting used more. Moore has taken time to get up to speed, and tbh I'm happy with our homegrown talent in the main. But keeping one or both of them around would mean we wouldn't need to draft a new WR.

    Blount - keep for sure.

Not so sure about Keisel. Had Cam Thomas stepped up, there would be a strong case for letting him go. But in reality, we need to keep drafting in that position. Keisel has impressed me with his play - I expected him to be slower than he has been. But ideally, we get Tuitt more on the field and cement our starting d-line by the end of the season.

I still had faith that Cortez can get his head straight, but that faith declines with every game.

Coaches - depends on how the season finishes, tbh. I think at this point something very disappointing needs to happen to get rid of any of the main guys though.

    Extend Ben

Blount is signed for 2, I'd extend him.

I'd let Lance go, our starting 3 should be AB, Bryant and Wheaton, let JB and DHB fight it out for #4

If the young guys are playing exceptionally well by seasons end, cut bait with JH and Beard, otherwise keep them around for one more season, good veteran depth.

Keep Cortez, guy can ball, just struggling right now.

Unless the last 2 games is a mirage, keep all the coaches.

Extend Ben, release Moore and DHB after the Steelers win the Super Bowl ( they should be happy, got rings) , Archer gets moved into the 4/5 wideout slot. Brown, Bryant, Wheaton, Brown, Archer.
    Blount stays.
Like Blast said, if Tuitt and McCullers keep showing promise, let Silverback and Da Beard retire. I am not sure about Worllds, some people say he is doing good this year, but $7 million a year good if we signed him?

Extend Ben for sure. With all of our weapons, we are an improved D away from competing for the Super Bowl again in about 2 years. Without Ben, we do not.

Let Blount ride out his contract and make a decision after next year. I wouldn't extend him just yet. I'd look for us to draft a late round RB this year too who can play ST's and groom for a year to supplement Bell.

as for the WR's, it just depends on who we think we can more easily replace. I like Moore the WR better than DHB by a lot, but DHB plays ST's and is an outside WR. JB is more of a slot back up, so maybe the right decision is to cut Moore and sign DHB (who will be vet minimum anyways).

i think we need to keep Kiesel until we have drafted quality enough backups. I'm cool with Cam Thomas as a back up DE/DT, but unless they think Mauro (or whoever else we draft in 2015) is ready to go Kiesel is a good option. Harrison will depend on the Worilds situation. If Worilds is gone, then we have to keep Deebo and draft another pass rusher. If he stays, Deebo is likely gone with Moats another 2015 draft pick and Howard Jones available too.

No way we cut Tez Allen. He's better off getting his head straight on our bench than on the streets counting against our cap in dead money. He's here at least another year or two,for better or worse.

I would keep all the coaches too barring a monumental collapse or DL retiring. Our offense is really coming into form, and the defense is starting to raise its talent level (it's still a couple years away). Anything worse than .500 probably gets some consideration for firing. 8-8 or 9-7 and miss playoffs, they will get one more year to make the playoffs. If they make the playoffs at 10-6 or better, then their jobs are totally safe for the near future.

Extend Ben. Keep Blount on his current contract. Keep DHB for special teams play alone unless Moore can be that gunner on kickoffs. As for JH and the Beard keep them around depending on the talent and how young and proven/unproven it is.

Worilds - sign him only if it is reasonable. If he wants to break the bank let him go.

Cortez Allen - keep him but next year is the big year for him. See if he can break out of the slump he has had this year.

My cuts would be as follows: Cam Thomas (not sure of his contract), potentially Ike Taylor (not sure of his contract) and either Moore or DHB and definitely Landry Jones.

Draft - CB first then OLB then the lines. OLB is moved down the list if Worilds is kept around.

As for coaches - I can't believe I am saying this but keep them around, unless these past two weeks are the exception and not the norm. If DL decides to retire I am all for Rex Ryan as our d-coordinator!

The way Beard and Silverback are playing, I'd lock 'em up long term! ;-)

I'd keep keisel 1 more year even if tuitt starts. we also have some good young depth at DE that should be ready. Williams and the kid from Stanford. cam Thomas goes.

moore, dhb stay over j.brown for now and we see what cj Goodwin has next year as a deciding factor. we let camp sort that out.

hojo will get a shot possibly so this may be the last hurrah for silverback.

cb's,OT,OG OLB,TE,maybe a NT could be our draft picks next year. I wouldn't rule out a qb either. at least if one fell in our laps. gay may need extended too.

    Extend Ben

Cut Cam Thomas, resign Kiesel to another vet min deal, keep DHB and Lance Moore. Cut JB. At the receivers position this gives you that vet presence. And I'm not ready to give up on DHB. His speed and able to play special teams keeps him around.

Cut James Harrison but keep him on speed dial

If we don't draft at least two corner's next year, I would fire Colbert the day after. We need to replenish the OLB, OT, TE and NT. But I wouldn't break the bank on looking for a NT.

Cortez Allen will be retain to see if he can get out of this funk. But this reminds me of Ike Taylor. Why didn't we bench him during the Tebow fiasco?

I forgot about him. I would see what Troy plans are. If he retires no big deal because Troy isn't Troy anymore and doesn't bring that specialization anymore. I think Sharmarko Thomas can fill in. But I would give him another year.

Worilds is gone! Moore will fight for a spot next year, but a brown. Bryant and Wheaton in the slot don't sound too bad honestly... thinking forward. Kiesel might make a case for next year but if Harrison don't start ripping heads off, he's gone regardless of a reduced/spell count in snaps. Tez is staying. Time to cut ties with Troy and if Mitchell don't figure stuff out he'll be out as well but not next season. Need to exten Ben and lock up heyward.

Everything else is second fiddle! Heyward is a guy I want around for a long time, and we should treat him like he's wanted, which I think will happen.

If Keisel and Silverback are cool with their current or even a slightly reduced salary, I'd be fine keeping one or both around for their leadership. If they want more money, then it's time for someone else to step into that leader role.

Oh, and sign Brad Wing long term. We found a punter so let's not mess around with it, give him 6 years and call it good.

Wing is growing into the role very well. Ok, he had that disaster a few weeks ago that may well have cost us the game. But I think we have to give punters some slack... it's not like they have glorious odds of winning praise.

Front offices hate to admit mistakes, so the likeliness of my suggestions happening are probably nill.

I'm more interested in churning the back end of the roster to see if they could hit on a potential diamond in the rough. I'd probably cut J Brown, L Jones, and D Archer if he is not used properly or shows anything the rest of the season. He's taking up a roster spot that could be better used elsewhere. I'd probably let R. Foster go too. He's just kind of average, and I think they can find better out there. If the team insists on keeping Gilbert (which they obviously do), make Adams and Beechum fight it out for the Left Tackle spot (or even better draft one).
I'd probably cut Ike too. He wasn't playing that well before his injury, and I'm not sure he can keep up with WR2's anymore.
Let Worilds walk. He's not worth what he'll get paid, and the team should have never tagged him to begin with.
Find a compliment to Heath. Whether that's Blanchflower or someone else currently not on the roster, I don't know.
Move McClendon back to DE where he belongs. Actually, scratch that. Just switch to the 4-3. Have a line of McClendon, Tuitt, Heyward, V. Williams. Keep Kiesel on board and McCullers as a rotation at DT. LBers Shazier, Timmons, Jones, Keep around Moats and Spence. I'd cut ties with Harrison.
Find a way to get Kirk Cousins from the Redskins. He's a good QB. And would make an excellent backup.

Now, if the team followed my suggestions, they'd probably lose every game by 30 points. So take my suggestions with a grain of salt.
