Well, I can assure you that my criticisms of Tomlin have nothing to do with skin color. Why does that even have to be brought up? I don't think anybody in this thread has said anything that would give anybody the idea that they are being critical for prejudicial reasons. If you'll read my original post, you'll realize that I felt that one outcome could be that we realize there's no other available coach out there that we'd rather have than Tomlin. Don't assume racial prejudice unless you've got a good reason to do so. I haven't seen that in this thread.

Hey, BFT, did you see where BF called our receivers a bunch of corpses the other day? Just wanted to give you a little more ammo for the fight. ;)

Sorry, BF. But now that I know that BFT prides himself in being grammatically correct, I'll be on the lookout for some of those errors as well. lol

And by the way, I did get on the "feet" bandwagon the other day so you could say I've helped both sides in this little dispute. :smiley1:

    Jack Attack,

Wow, that's about a 9 on the tension scale there Roub... Name the movie.

I was not saying that it was if you read the post. It's just a reality in our society. I am a WASP.

Just baffles me that this kind of post would even have been bought up. That's all.

Still not sure I understand, but that's cool. I just wanted to clarify my point. I think what we've determined is that there are VERY FEW coaches that we would trade Tomlin for right now. I don't think it's time to pull the plug on Tomlin's coaching tenure, but if we have a losing record this year, the drumbeat may get a little louder.

I think By fireing Tomlin and bringing in a new staff you might as well kiss the rest of Big Ben's career goodbye. He has some years left but not like Payton Manning that falls down when he knows he will get hit and has way less sacks.I'm not for firing Tomlin although I am a little upset. I think he will righten the ship, you can only coach the players you have and we unfortunately have had a ton of injuries last year and this so far.

Injuries do play into it, that's true, but the fact is the players that we have, for the most part, were drafted by Tomlin and Colbert. Has Colbert missed on these players? Can Tomlin not coach them up? There's something missing here.

Brady and Manning rips their oline after they get sacked, making them accountable, Ben never says nothing to his oline, so they just figure it must have been Bens own fault, not theirs....

I have a hard time understanding myself to Jack LOL. Yea I hear you about if the team craps the bed this season. All the coaches of the Black and Gold have felt the heat. Personally I believe we are in transition and 9-7 might be the best we will see. Hope not, but bringing in the young guys, a new offensive line system ect scream of transition. Gonna take more then a few games for the line to gel. This was before the injury to Pouncey. So we will see. GO Steelers...

I would have no problem in letting Tomlin go. But we know the Rooney's aren't going to do that! I also would love to see Haley go, he's an idiot! Tomlin is in over his head and is nothing more than a very well spoken rah-rah kinda guy who players like playing for! However the players don't fear Tomlin at all, imo! What does it say about Tomlin if the Rooney's brought in Haley without even allowing Tomlin to sit in on the interview or allow him to give his opinion? The Rooney's brought Haley in without Tomlin's blessing. It's true! Look at my message board name...the Steelers #1 receiver's dad lives in KC and watches some of the games with us! Interesting insight that fans rarely get outside of the locker room! It's as much the Rooney's fault as anyone else's!

If he was that tight with his son you would think he'd fly him to Pittsburgh for the games.

Doesn't sound like AB and his Dad have much of a relationship. Sure don't sound like the type of relationship where AB would be calling him to tell him about the inner workings of the Steelers locker room. I'm not saying the guy doesn't tell you stuff, but I wouldn't put much stock in it. probably just trying to be a big shot.

I wouldn't be surprised if he does frequent the same bar, I am surprised that he would believe everything out of this guys mouth though. Especially on the inner workings of the club. And as AB said in that article, they don't even talk much, I'm sure AB isn't talking about that kind of stuff when they do speak.
