You do know that McFarland was our best back in preseason averaging 5.7 yard per carry.

The knock on McFarland has been he can't stay healthy. If he can stay healthy he should be our #2 back.

I think it will be deciding between Watt and Snell for special teams abilities.

    Keep but shouldn't: Snell
    Cut but shouldn't: McFarland

The others are too close for me to have an opinion one way or another. Someone who deserved a roster spot will get cut at WR, who am I to say which one is best. They all bring different things to the table. We are going to keep some garbage OL because our backups are just all garbage, so someone(s) will be making the team who dont really deserve it. I don't think we see anything too "surprising" outside of bringing a few people in from other rosters (namely OL and potentially an OLB)

Keep but shouldn't: Benny Snell, Connor Heyward/Derek Watt
Cut but shouldn't: Jaylen Warren, Steven Sims

I think Warren could be the No. 2 back right now but Tomlin/Kahn/Weidl are going go to with experienced backs (Snell and McFarland).

I really like what I saw out of Steven Sims but he's going to be the odd guy out in the WR room.

Having both Connor Heyward and Derek Watt on the roster is a waste. Pick one and keep him at FB. Let Kevin Rader stay on as the third TE. We need all the big bodies we can get to help on the OL.

They aren't using Heyward at fullback. He and Watt don't play the same position.

I certainly hope they don't cut Warren. He looks like their second-best back.

I don’t think McFarland gets cut, and that’s a good thing.

    Stays but shouldn’t: James Daniels
    Cut but shouldn’t: Mark Robinson

if DJ keeps having these nagging injuries, they need a vet to replace him during these stints. boykin or sims fit that bill better than vaughns. sims is a gunner replacement as well. (can do much of the same things). we will be giving some other team in the league a couple of good receivers. tough call coming.

Yup. I think Heyward is going to be a pretty good weapon for them. Especially whenever Pickett becomes QB, they seem to have a good connection.

I don’t think they cut Warren.

This is such a sad post of reality, Really, if we had a good OL we would be serious SB Contenders!!!!

As much as I like Pat (muuuuthh) and believe we needed TE help we Drafted him over Creed Humphries!!!!

Good discussion guys , kinda surprised nobody is defending Tyler Vaughns…. He seems to be one of our best Rte runners with solid hands and is on page with all three QB’s!!!

I believe he could easily replace Boykin, even though Boykin is a bit taller, faster and more experienced. Boykin has never lived up to his athletic promise and I believe Tyler maximizes skill set .

Would have LOVED to have seen Boykin Traded for a OG!!!

Not to be a negative Nancy but what in Tomlin's history should lead us to believe if Warren makes the 53 that he will be used and used effectively? Same goes for Vaughn to a lesser extent. We have seen this before guys force their way into the conversation but then get cut two weeks later because they are underutilized.

The knock on McFarland is that he gets tackled way to easy, yes he has speed, no we dont get to see it because he is always on his can at the first contact.

That's why I'd like to take a flier on Lindsay.,.He plays the opposite of McFarland...He runs extremely hard, like his hair is on fire...And he has speed also

Keep pretty much starts and ends with Green and Bush

Cut is harder. Gonna be a good WR released. Probably a decent DL, too. That's about it.
