Who to watch the draft with?

I'm glad the networks stopped showing guys in the green room getting phone calls and starting to cry. That pretty much ruined the anticipation .

 

You mean channels....plural. I got caught as a youngster....because My folks seen it screaming through it's axis as I was trying 2 get it back 2 respectful TV before they could get back in the house. LoL

 

Well Hell ....how the Heck do people get it before they announce it on TV???

 

Didn't they still do that last year??? Maybe I'm thinking before that.

 

Hopefully it’s available streaming. If not I’ll be living vicariously through this board.

 

My wife caught me watching Electric Blue on the Playboy Channel. I told her that I was trying to find the Pirates - Expo game but somehow the satellite went haywire.

 

I don't really watch the ABC coverage, I will probably watch NFLN, and record ESPN to see their analysis of the Steelers picks.

 

We share this quality.

 

Because the networks go to commercials whenever the Steelers pick is in because of the TV ratings Steelers Nation brings. And the pick is all over social media before it is announced on TV.

 

ESPN has said that Kiper will be broadcasting from his home this year, and Adam Schefter will not be part of the broadcast at all.

Damn, I did not know that Schefter was making $10 million per year at ESPN.
Schefter, ESPN's preeminent NFL news-breaker, inked a new deal in March that reportedly pays him around $10 million a year.

 

draft? is there a draft tonight? i wasn't aware.

 

Last night my wife said what time is the draft? I told her it was tomorrow night at 8 PM. It always starts on Thursdays now. She said it is Thursday. I told her no It's Wednesday. Now she's even in more of a bad mood. She couldn't care less but knows my son and I will own the TV tonight.

 

No Schefter or kiper, i might watch more of espn instead of the NFL netwrk tonight ,,

 

I like to watch it home and just get on message board and watch the entire 1st round until its over or I fall asleep.

This weekend drives my wife nuts, she just can't understand how I can watch this for 3 days.

But I can't understand why she likes Hallmark movies either.

 

I'm thinking there'll be at least two.

 

From my Steelers calendar today:
The 1974 NFL draft was a gold mine for the Steelers, who selected Pro Football Hall of Fame members Lynn Swann in the first round, Jack Lambert in the second, John Stallworth in the fourth and Mike Webster in the fifth.

From my perspective.........In Baseball terms that is pretty much hitting a Grand Slam down by 3 runs in the bottom of the 9th in game 7 of the World Series.

 

I have twin daughters. For one the draft is essentially Christmas morning. The other looks at me like an alien when I tell her "The draft's on tonight!"

I have to love them both I suppose. lol

 

My son and I are both sports fanatics. My wife and 2 daughters couldn't care less. The wife hates it cause she never gets to watch "her shows". LOL. She's accepted it though cause she knows how much it means to us. My son is in 8th grade and definitely knows more about all these college players than I could ever. Looking forward to tonight. The NFL Draft is one of the best non sport sports ever. If nothing else I get to hear Gooddell get booed excessively.
