I'm going with fan favorite Jordan Zumwalt. Looking at him compared to all the other LBers and I mean all including Garvin he looks like a JV kid out there with the varsity. He just looks small and slow out there. So who is your surprise cut?

I think that depends on what is wrong with Rogers foot.

Some interesting battles I thought would be more lop-sided....

Cam Thomas doesn't seem to be losing ground to Geathers. Thomas more at NT and LE and Geathers at RE but still a spot on the def line.
Jawon Chisholm might be closing in on Josh Harris's spot. I've seen some good write-ups on Chisholm's camp so far in his late arrival.
CJ Goodwin or Rogers and DHB. We know DHB has the edge on STs but the other two probably have it at WR.
Does Murphy unseat Jones as the #3.

I think the surprise cut wont be in the first round of cuts but in the second and it may be Geathers unfortunately. So early to tell without seeing any preseason action and just judging by secondhand reports.

Cody Wallace due to the quality rookie UFAs we've brought in.

Geathers just may be an idiot who starts fights in camp, doesn't necessarily mean he is good, I never expected much out of him.

While I'm happy to be wrong, I've often tended to that view... fine for people to admire his "fire", but we need disciplined aggression.

I wasn't too sure what to expect from Geathers. Guess he's kind of a journeyman for a reason. I just kept reading how coach Mitchell was talking about him and he wanted Geathers to come in at this certain weight, which he did. I was thinking -- ok maybe he was miscast by the other teams and Mitchell is going to slim him down and develop this new player.

We all know Cam Thomas under performed last year to put it mildly. But if he "rights the ship" and out performs the rest of the d-line depth players than I'm ok with him on the team. The coaches would know that better than anyone. All that said, if he reverts back to '14 form, I know of a dentist in Minnesota....
