Man this is going to be tough picking. I think mine will be.

Bama, Ohio State Wisc. & Washington.

I think the selection group will pick Bama, Wisc. Clemson & Washington.

    Whats yours?

    1. Alabama
    2. Clemson
    3. Ohio State
    4. Washington

This of course presumes that Clemson and Washington win their games next weekend. Only Bama can survive a loss IMO (they probably even stay #1 with a loss). Maybe Clemson can depending on what else happens. A loss by Washington easily puts the Big 10 champ in the playoffs.

Bama plays Florida and they will destroy them and go undefeated, Ohio state doesnt deserve to be in the final 4 after the way the refs gave them that win against michigan yesterday, it was just blatant home cooking, OSU sucks....

Well, agree on yesterday's game. No way that was a 1st down. However, I think the real culprit was Wilson Speight. Terrible turnovers. Still, OSU is 11-1. They'll be in even if you and I both agree that they don't deserve it.

If Penn State beats Wisconsin, I don't know how you keep a team that won its conference and is the only team to beat another team out.

Granted that Pitt loss is a sore thumb, but you're looking at a team that's playing just as good or better right now than Ohio State.

Isn't Pitt the only team to knock off 2 current top 10 teams this year? As long as the scoreboard can count to at least 100 for both teams - let's put Pitt in that final 4! "Chicks dig the long" bombs. :roflmao:

Buckeyes have beaten 3 top 10
but they still do not deserve to be in the playoff

Penn state should get the nod

After this weekend I stand by my top 4 seeding above. Ohio State vs. Clemson would be a great matchup. As for Alabama vs. Washington... well, anything can happen I guess.

I think Penn State and Michigan are both better opponents for Alabama, but they lost 2 games vs. Washington's one loss.

    We will find out soon.

Lets just say the time for an 8 team playoff format is now, no more of this lets give the 4 team scenario 5 or 6 years to see if a final 8 is prudent, that train has left the damn station so get the 8 game playoff ready for next year.....

Upon further review - you are both correct - but here's how it actually played out as far as who beat whom in the top 10:

    - Pitt is only team to beat 2 top 5 teams (Clemson and Penn St)
    - Penn St only other top 10 team to beat a top 5 (Ohio St) and beat Wisconsin (#8)
    - Ohio St did beat 3 top 10 teams but they are ranked 6-10 (Michigan, Oklahoma, Wisconsin)
    - Alabama (#1) only beat 1 top 10 team - So Cal which is ranked #9
    - Clemson (#2) didn't beat ANY top 10 teams AND loss to the lowly 23rd ranked Pitt
    - Washington beat 2 top 10 teams but they are ranked 6-10 (So Cal and Colorado)

Bottom line - except for their defense and 4 inexcusable losses (just like the Steelers) - Pitt amazingly is in rarefied air this season vs all other top 10 teams at this stage with Penn St just behind them. Ohio St a distant third - ha ha

Let's hear it for those PA teams! :clapping::clapping::clapping:

Believe it should be a minimum of 4
    every year

    BUT

    certain years
there is a need to have 6
    8

there are some years that there are only 2 teams that should be in the championship game no ifs ands or buts

    but at least have 4

why not give western michigan a shot
why Boise when they were undefeated and kicked oklahomas ass

I think that is why they play these games? Last time I looked it is 0-0 for all 4 teams.

Yes the Tide has more talent than all other teams.

What a beat down of the OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY. I think Urban better find a QB and an offensive coordinator.

By the way, as much as I dislike the Buckeyes, this was totally unexpected by me.

I am looking at either a five or 8 team playoff. Let open it up to the smaller conferences
also. Keep in mind this would probably eliminate a regular season game against conference opponent.
