Who is smarter, the average quarterback or the average news writer?

    I found this link interesting on several counts:

    1) The top scores are on offense. This doesn't surprise me, they have to think more whereas the defense has to react more. Plus, just listen to interviews.

    2) Look at the tid bit in the lower right regarding the Seahawks and the Patriots.

    As an FYI, to convert the Wonderlick score to an IQ, double the Wonderlck and add 60. The median IQ is 100, half above and half below, that is the definition. The equivalent Wonderlick would be 20. About 95% of the population fits within 1 standard deviation +/- which is 85-115 on IQ, or roughly 12.5-27.5 on Wonderlick.

    None of this factors in athletic ability naturally. e.g. Eli scored way above Ben. Ben is a better QB.

    I don't believe Belicheat and the Patriots numbers for a second. I wouldn't be surprised if Belicheat cheated and somehow "inflated" those numbers. Maybe thats where those missing PSIs went?
