Bring Ben back is a joke. He is a old man and can’t do his job, Under throwing, over throwing. He had his day and now it is over. Put in Mason, might get a couple completions. 11-2, we are lucky. 3 of those games we just got but the football gods were with us. Now they realized they were helping the wrong team and it back to MT. All this **** flies back in his face.

you have to stretch the field-- this offense stinks, the line is horrible.

    Is it Bens
Fault that the line can’t block
    And the rbs can’t run

    Right it probably is
    If not its probably tomlins

Only way you can bring Ben back is if you have a dominant run game and defense and then he just game manages, like Elway at the end, but sadly the run game is not there...

Can they fix it in the offseason?

Another thing: Part of Ben's magic was the ability to scramble ... he is not able to do that anymore.

Ben knows he has the front office by the short and curly. Why give up a $40M paycheck when he knows that as bad as he is at this point the Steelers can't afford anyone else

Look at Manning's last year with Denver when he won the Superbowl. 9 TDs and 17 Ints in the regular season.

He was pulled after week 10 and served as their backup until week 17 when he returned halfway through the game after Osweiler had thrown 2 picks.

Manning would go on to win the Superbowl that year.

    Why can't Tomlin bench Ben?

No doubt. Our back-ups are just a bag of D's.

They can pay him 22 to go away n save 19 on cap. Sounds great to me as paying him 40 or extending him is insanity

Last night not withstanding, the only blame Ben has to take is that he runs the team and that's BS!

He has a horrible group of coaches around him and his ego is okay with that because it gives him the chance to do what he wants.

His play is not the biggest problem. If we had an O-line coach and an OC, his play wouldn't be so damaging.

No, that's not Ben's fault. Is it Ben's fault that he threw numerous picks and several others should have been caught but weren't? Is it Ben's fault he was both underthrowing and overthrowing guys all game?

No they couldn't, not the way Ben is playing. The defence can't be on the field for 75% of the time and expect to stay fresh. They would gas out.

The 22 has already been paid, Ben needs a sit down intervention from Bettis and Ward...it's over dude. When Hines was told he was going to be cut loose he thought about playing another year somewhere else, I believe it was the Bus who asked him if he could really see himself in another uniform..Hines retired. When Troy was told the same thing he was bitter, offered a chance with the Titans, but he ultimately retired.

IDK if Rooney will take the same approach with Ben, but Ben looks a shell of himself (as did Troy his last year here).

You do when a guy can't get the job done anymore. Peyton Manning got benched in his last season because was done. He had almost nothing left. If Peyton Manning can get benched, surely Ben can too.

But would he listen? He clashed with Haley. Ol Randy is the puppet he covets. I feel that Matt Canada duties have been diminished. This is the issue.

Ben needs to ride off into the sunset. His play has been the worst I have ever seen it. Blame it on injuries all you want but look at the game plan from the shot gun, getting the ball out of his hands in 2 seconds, doesn't scramble and throw defenders off. He is a beaten man who doesn't want to take any hits.

Again, 42,250.000 if he comes back. 22,250.000 if he retires or they release him(which I can't see happening) And extending him would be a mistake, a major cap mistake. The caps going down next season.

The meal ticket response is because as KVS put it their is NO other alternative QB on the roster. Unless Ben has a worse meltdown in the next 2 games you won't see Rudolph. Or Dancer, Prancer, Comet or Vixen.

Its hard to watch the once Big Ben turn into small ben. It happens, and age, injuries and the beatings he has taken have shown up big this season.

I hope they trade up and get a QB in 2021. Its past time to do so...

I agree, and I've said it all along.
    1. Tomlin lets AB do his thing and we saw what happened.
    2. Tomlin lets Ben do his thing and we see whats happening.
    3. Tomlin lets Ju-Ju do his BS and it's now a distraction.
    4. Tomlin keeps Fitchner because Ben likes having a puppet.
