I say Sutton, I expect him to play early and often. He also has some experience as a returner on special teams.

I want to say Watts but I think it will be easier for JuJu to make the biggest impact.

I hope it's hard to decide by the end of the year...

JUJU. I expect a monster offense this year. 40ppg or bust.

JuJu at best will be the number 3 receiver. I don't classify that as "impact".

If we are lucky, Watt will come on later in the season similar to Dupree.

    Split between Schuster and Sutton.

Schuster solves so many issues by himself whereas Sutton can complete a very good up and coming trio of corners; possibly yet another demonstration of Tomlin's genius when it comes to finding diamonds in the rough.

Smith-Schuster will have the biggest impact. I think the new favorite formation for the year will be single back, 1 TE(preferably Green) and 3 WRs. Brown being WR1 and Bryant and Smith Schuster will be WR2a and WR2b. I think Smith Schuster starts in the slot but will cut to the sideline and up while Brown moves on slants and crossing routes and moving all over which he excels at. Bell catches balls over the middle on short dump offs while Green works the seams or if it is James drag routes. Bryant does what he does best.

They'll have packages for him. I think he can make an impact on 3rd downs and scoring TDs in the red zone. Also has the path of least resistance.

Watts has James in front of him and Sutton has the most difficult position to learn.

Conner... by a mile. Nobody else will come close. RBs are usually thrown into the fire as rookies. If he picks up the blitzes during preseason, he'll get some playing time week 1 in relief of Bell.

I'm the other Conner vote. If we're smart, he'll get a lot of action in goal line (TDs) and short yardage situations*, in addition to spelling Bell. Plus, Bell has a history of injuries and suspensions.

    * Maybe we could run on 3rd & 1 once in a while instead of hoping the 50-yard bomb works the 67th time we try it.

I think thats the only way Conner could possibly have the biggest impact.

Steelers haven't shown they are willing to take Bell off the field. I think Conner does have the ability to spell Bell, he's not just a plodder, he's more versatile then that. But they'd have to pull Bell off the field a lot for him to have the biggest rookie impact.

His opportunities will be limited without an injury to Bell.

I agree. Two years ago we had a 33 yr old r leading the league in rushing while Bell was suspended. After he served his time we saw very little of DWILL the rest of the season. Last year we all salivated when we heard a potential Bell and DWILL dual backfield from Haley. Bell again suspended, DWILL carries the load until he is back and all that talk about on the field at the same time turned into less than 20 snaps and most of those had Bell lining up as a slot receiver and maybe a hand off or two to an ineffectual DWILL.

Hoping to see something different with Conner is just that hoping, until they do it I wouldn't hold out for that two headed monster backfield

Holba. Not hearing his name will mean he's doing a great job of replacing Warren.

dwill was injured so that may have forced them to scrap the idea without much practice time. not saying conner will have the biggest impact though.

TJ Watt, he should get more chances than the others.

I voted Sutton, but its tough because I have high hopes for all of them. I think Sutton's competition at the slot will give him the better chance.

    Indeed.

Should Golson be unable to prove his worth and Gay shows somw signs of slowing down even more so than he did at the AFC Championship Game, Sutton can be called upon to do the job.

He is arguably the safest pick we have; JuJu Smith Schuster the same. Sutton is a four year starter who is a good enough athlete but has both NFL ready hand skills and ball skills while being sticky in coverage.

I'm curious to see how Golson will do. You would think he has to have practice squad eligibility, if he isn't catching up to the physical part of the game/practices. If they did PS him for whatever reason, that would really give Sutton a great window of opportunity.

Which in turn already boosts our secondary.

Artie with a full season of training under his belt, Ross getting better and Cameron being essentially a plug and play corner, we might have solved our issues at the cornerback position.

I would like to say Danny Smith's replacement - but doesn't look like it will happen this year.
