This view is based on the idea that the 2023 Steelers are a constant. They are not. The current defense isn't the one they had for most of the 7-4 start. Injuries took care of that. Also, the issues on offense wore on certain players, especially Pickens and Johnson, and the slow fracturing of the locker room led to pathetic efforts against the Cardinals and Patriots. Part of the problem is talent, but much more of it is discipline. This team lacks it. That reflects poor coaching.

Tomlin did a decent job rallying last year's team as he did in 2019. The same is true of the work he did coaxing the 2021 squad into the playoffs. This year, however, I don't think he has done a good job at all. He tried an approach rooted in focus and discipline, but this team couldn't maintain those things through an entire season.

I understand that and agree with it. I was just saying he deserves some credit for getting them as far as he did.

Also for as bad as Pickett has looked, they were winning with him. Trubisky is truly awful.

i agree, I was SO HOPEFUL that this would have been put in place, but now are just full blown one of the laughing stock organizations in the league

Trubisky is a horrible fit for this team. They rely on taking care of the ball and making clutch throws under pressure and he hasn't done either since Pickett got hurt. At the very least, if Pickett is healthy, I think they beat the Patriots.

How do you know? He has earned a law degree, that is an academic accomplishment
And no he hasn't ruined a franchise, well I agree he is not his dad but he has good people working for him hopefully we can get back to exciting, entertaining, winning football.

Wasn’t the minority ownership the fools that own the Panthers and the Commanders? They may not be the best examples. The Panthers are barely still a team even after the first overall pick.
