Coach Noll would have replied: "TJ who?"

TJ Watt was with the team but was not in uniform. Saw him chatting it up with Derek and Pat Freiermuth via Twitter. Other than that, not sure exactly where he was on the field.

Oh the misspellings our rookie TE's name will conjur. Let's get a nickname to stick, and fast.

He was watching our edge rushers throw a monkey wrench into his extension negotiations.

Hopefully keeping his hand wrapped so as not to damage it before he signs his mega deal next week.

Continuing his unofficial hold out. I don't want a $30M/yr linebacker. Guess the Steelers don't either.

I am just going to go with Muth. It's just easier that way.

On the board hes Muth................In the stands yell Heath when he catches it.

They generated some pressure against a bad Lions team sitting many of its starters, including their quarterback, running back, and tight end. Do you really think that somehow means the Steelers don't need one of the top two or three defensive players in the NFL? You're funny.

Do you need me to explain to you why having the starting quarterback and top running back out of the lineup makes things easier on the pass rushers?

The Steelers and Watt need to get this resolved. They also need Tuitt back in the lineup. The last thing they need is to be going into the game against Buffalo shorthanded.

All jokes aside Watt was on the sidelines in street clothes.

I thought this was resolved when TJ signed his contract or are contacts not worth the paper the signatures are penned on?

Honestly, and yinz can call me crazy, I'd rather sign Fitz longterm and let Watt go. OLB is our most replaceable position on defense. We can find someone in FA for half of what he's demanding and can get similar numbers or we can draft his replacement. I'm not dismissing his talent. He's a great football player. I'm just finding it hard to grasp paying him upwards of $30m a season. $15-20m a season is a hell of a lot more bearable, just can't see the Watt company going this low.

Yeah looked like he really was enjoying Muth's 1st TD and was congratulating him.

What's funny, troll, is that you keep ignoring what I type and just make things up as you go along. It's also funny that you pretend others aren't disagreeing with you as well.

Valiant attempt, but still no joy in mudville for you. But hey, you've got glenn waving his pompoms for you, so there's always that, I guess.

He was talking with his agent as he should be. QB's will have a field day if he doesn't get paid.

An internet troll is someone who posts things online that they don't mean, which is not the case here, so you can't even get through a weak ad hominem attack without making yet another factual error.

I gave you the opportunity to clarify, but you chose to attack me instead, which tells me two things. I read your initial post perfectly, and once again, you don't know what the hell you are talking about.

You have tried this argument on at least two threads, that somehow the Steelers don't need Watt as badly because Highsmith and Ingram look good rushing from the edge. You specifically mentioned the game against the Lions, as if that would somehow have any real impact on what kind of deal Watt does or does not get from the Steelers. I asked if you were joking, because the alternative is that you just posted something really dumb.

All I know is if he gets his payday he damn well better live up to it or we will eat him alive.

Actually I don't think any of these pro athletics should get the money they make but TJ can be so damn disrupting to an offense that I really want him out there.

i will say sewell was one of the top tackles taken in the draft that those guys were rushing against. many here wanted that pick for us instead of our najee and our 4th rounder.

TRIFECTA! Wrong on all three counts. At least you're consistent.
