C'mon and send blitzes already. It's always a 4 man rush these days with LB's jumping back into coverage.
Need to pressure these QB's often.

The biggest obstacle for the Steelers all season, and has been
for some time. Why we can not teach are pass rushers some rushing technique
or maybe try to find one in the draft is beyond me?

The defense gave up 6 points 3 of which came on a 12 yard field and your're complaining?

Yes, I'm complaining. Flacco was untouched the entire first half and was only pressured a half dozen times the entire game. Consistently they only rushed 4 people and dropped everyone back into coverage. While it did minimmize points and was effective for the most part we still walk away with a loss at the end of the day. Get more pressure on Flacco and chances are he's turning the ball over which might just make the difference in the game.

I love the new D..send four and drop 7 into coverage and keep the plays in front of you. End result is the best D in the NFL...if you want to complain, there's an offensive squad who's been underperforming

    Priorities.

I'll take 6 points-per-game all year while my offense has been playing like it has.
The defense was lights out last night.

Some people are just never freaking happy...the D was NOT the issue last night. They played great last night and I think ended the game with 3 sacks (couldve been more...). Easily one of their best games in a LONG time.

:this!: They shut him down, thats all that matters. Seeing Flacco get beat up would have just been an added bonus but the defense totally did it's job tonight. Their play over the last several weeks is the sole reason I still believe we have a season left, they will keep us in it, just have to hope whoever we have in as QB can help the offense generate enough points to win. Because what we saw last night was atrocious. Actually, Dwyer looked good, why they kept going away from him is beyond me, the play calling overall was very bad.

I posted this at halftime last night because Flacco had all the time in the world to complete passes but couldn't connect. The second half brought more pressure which I was very happy to see. Bottom line though if we do not get pressure on some of the better QB's early and often then the game will be over before the 3rd quarter begins.

If the secondary keeps up it's play similar to how they did last night the pressure will get there.
Having offense to match the strides on defense would be nice too.

If nothing else: Asking the defense to pitch a shutout so we can crawl out of our own stadium again isn't a fair demand.

their also not P Manning or Brady and those 2 are guys they will likely face if they can still make the playoffs.

you can beat Flacco and a lot of other good qbs without getting pressure on them. you just have to confuse them, but i havent seen too many games were Brady or P Manning looked confused no matter how good the defense is. you beat those guys by hitting them and making them hurry and uncomfortable.

they need to start getting pressure. i know the defense has looked pretty good lately, but they need to put it all together. they need to get pressure on the qb and start forcing turnovers. everyone is quick to blame the offense when they turn the ball over and put the defense in a bad spot. well how about the defense starts forcing some turnovers and puts the offense in a good spot.

The defense gave up 6 points and less than 200 yards TOTAL. I ll take those numbers everyday, loss and all.

The problem was the offense. Wallace did us a favor by declining $50 mil and saved a bunch of cap money. He can leave now as far as I m concerned.

his head doesnt seem there. he makes a great catch, than he drops and easy one. hes fumbling and dropping a ton of passes this season. he is a difference maker and he is very valuable, but he is making it very tough for the Steelers to justify giving him more than Ab got.

Ab and Sanders are both much better all around wr's than Wallace. Wallace at times is capable of being the best wr in the game, but he isn't consistent. i would rather have 2 guys out there that are very fast and can catch just about anything thrown their way than to have the fastest guy in the game, but drops a ton of passes.

i hope they keep Wallace, but i dont see the Steelers offering him a huge contract. it wouldnt surprise me if they dont even offer him that 50 mil again. the problem is another team will.

Doesn't matter, those are 2 QB's that would light us up in the past. It's obvious to me that the secondary is playing much better. Even Brady and Peyton can't pass to people who aren't there.
