Rudolph was benched at halftime of the Bengals game in favor of…DUCK HODGES. The sky’s not blue, grass isn’t green, blah, blah, blah.

You’re right about people spouting foolish stuff on here and you spouting off about me saying whatever I was supposed to say about whoever I was supposed to say it about is about as foolish as it gets. In case you haven’t noticed, I’ve never been much of a Mitch fan even though when it appeared for a period of time last year that he may be our best option I was hopeful that he’d at least be a good stopgap from Ben to our next guy. I think most Steeler fans were hopeful that he’d get it together in Pittsburgh after being an abject failure in Chicago. Then he lost his job to Pickett. Or are you disputing that too?

He was a big back in college probably close to 240lbs hurdling defenders.

    LOL.
Did He beat Him in camp, He was the starter until He got knocked out, and they forced him back from His concussion too quickly. Was He not made the starter again??? He was never not the starter when He wasn't injured. So did they Bench Ben for Mike Vick, Charlie Batch, and so on. LoL
Simple Question. Do You watch every game??....Be honest. I'm not talking highlights, or stats .. I'm talking every game ...whole games. I ask because You should know this if You watched.
This is as bad as the people running around saying.....Lamar Jackson got hurt everytime in the pocket. LoL

Did Pickett beat Trubisky in camp? Did Trubisky lose his job to Pickett? The same thing happened with Rudolph and Duck. The FACT is Rudolph LOST his job to Duck Hodges because of non-performance. Now the concussion may have had something to do with it but again, that Rudolph lost his job to Duck is a FACTUAL OCCURRENCE! I've noticed you seem to have problems with facts and I'm not even sure that you completely believe what you're saying. And to compare Rudolph LOSING his job to Duck to Ben being injured or suspended and the team having to roll with Vick and/or Batch and/or Rudolph for that matter is just ludicrous.

    No it's not the same.
One Mason was the starter untill......He Got Hurt.
Mason got his job back when He was fully healthy. GEEZZZZ. Everyone that watched the season knows this. LoL
So why are You arguing it.

Trubisky didn't lose His job to injury, and....
Trubisky never got His job back. After He was bench He only played when KFP was hurt.
    LoL

You keep arguing that Rudolph lost his job because he got hurt and that's pure conjecture. He'd been back for a few games when he LOST his job to Duck! The concussion may have marginally impacted Rudolph's performance but I don't believe that's why he lost his job to Duck. Was the concussion still impacting Rudolph a year or so later when he crapped the bed against the Lions when he had a chance to start for Ben? Let me answer that for you. NO! Rudolph is not a starting caliber quarterback, he's a backup. I've seen enough of him to form that opinion and I was really rooting for the guy. But that's all it is...my opinion. Your opinion of him is apparently that he can be a top flite starter in the league. Time will determine whose opinion is correct.

Maybe the attached link will help you with your memory a bit. Rudolph threw four interceptions against the Browns in the infamous Myles Garrett helmet game and then he was 8 for 16 for 85 yard and an INT in the EZ against the Bengals in the first half before being benched for Duck Hodges who gave the team a much needed spark. Rudolph regained his starting spot late in the season but again, the FACT is that he lost his job to Duck and I don't think it was because of the concussion or any other injury. It was because of sub-par performance. And lest you forget, he wasn't setting the league on fire prior to the concussion. I like Mason but we'll have to agree to disagree on what his ceiling is in the NFL.

I don't need the links. I have the games.
    LoL.
It's not conjecture.....He got knocked out of the game with a spear to the head . Helmet to Helmet.
He was brought back to fast.....just like Tua was this year.
Let Me ask You a simple question, and I'm done arguing with Your stupidity on this.
Did they , or did they not play Mason until He got injured.....Did they , or did they not take Duck out ,and put Mason back in .....without Duck being injured????
    GEEZZZZ. LoL
Also noticed You skipped the question of whether You actually watched all the games. LoL. So if You didn't You are going by what others said, and highlights. LoL.

To answer your question, smart guy, I watch most every Steeler game so let's move on from that, shall we. And for you to call someone out for stupidity is laughable. The only stupid thing I've done here is try to have a rational discussion with someone who's incapable of rational thought. Time will tell whether or not Rudolph will be a quality starting quarterback in the league. I think he can be a quality backup and no more.

I would dare say that I’ve watched every game Rudolph has played for the Steelers and my conclusion is that he’s not starter material. And you know what, apparently the Steelers as an organization have reached the same conclusion given that they signed a FA quarterback last year, drafted a quarterback in the first round and are willing to let him walk. Try using logic and reason once in a while instead of being presumptuous and making crap up just to be disagreeable.

Right about Bell and Watt, wanted those guys bad.

Wrong about Claypool. Looked like everything I thought he’d be in year one but then :bscow:

I think Hines Ward is right, he recently said Chase has maturity issues. Needs to be less “me” and more “team”.

Wrong about Ben Koyack, thought he could be the next Heath

I was super excited about Jarvis Jones (being a Georgia fan). That was a complete BUST. I literally cried when we drafted Bud Dupree but he ended up being decent opposite TJ.

I made good money off the Bud pick. I had Him as our 1st pick in a draft bet I made that year.

One bad game at Oklahoma is barely relevant. He had an up and down college career, but the trend in the NFL is in the right direction. I'm not sure I'd call him great just yet, but can you name 10 quarterbacks who are better? (I know. You hate running quarterbacks, but some of the other top guys are runners, too.)

That is not true. They did bench a healthy Rudolph for Hodges at one point later in the season.

Wasn't a Steeler draft selection but I was terribly wrong about Aaron Donald, one of my Pitt Panthers.
I thought he was too small for NFl at IDL, now he is a sure fire HOF generational
Player that gives back to Pitt again and again.

It frustrates me to this day because I was right about Donald. I thought he was going to be great in the NFL. I knew he wasn't a perfect fit for the Steelers' scheme, but I thought they should have traded up to get him anyway.
