I'll agree with the idea that things are more complicated than merely rest and injuries.
But at the same time, they do make a difference, and shouldn't be dismissed lightly.
Not every team is dealing with missing 3 of the their best starters on defense (plus other random injuries).

Maybe it would help if you pointed out cases in the past where teams lost multiple players at the top end, and still managed to play at a high level relative to other (healthier) playoff teams.

They will never win another playoff game. Ever! Never ever! So you can hop off the wagon now

Not really. Thomas Edward Patrick Brady has been in just about every Super Bowl since 2001.

It could be a few years, personally I do not have high hopes for this upcoming season, unless they impress the hell out of me

That's kind of the point. The Broncos were able to win a Super Bowl with Peyton Manning despite his deficiencies. Ben is past his prime. But if we can run the ball, play defense, and let Ben manage the game, things might go better than we all think.

Anything can happen during a season, But the AFC is pretty stacked right now. Hell the AFC north is pretty stacked right now. Between the Ravens, The browns and now the bengals getting better, Our Cap hell causing a free agent purge and the ineptness of this organization to have no real plan or even accepting that they need a plan for life after big Ben doesn't bode well for our team. I am more concerned with us even getting into the playoffs much less winning anything.

Apples and Oranges.... Broncos and Steelers.

Broncos at that time, had the best defense of the 2010's decade. Von Miller was an unstoppable beast. Steelers D is good, but not great. And TJ Watt of 2021 will not be as good as Miller was in 2015. Nothing against Watt. Steelers D won't be able to cover the many inevitable warts of the Steelers offense in '21.

We sure scored a lot against that great D that year. Even in the Playoffs without AB(WR, Punt returner) , Bell , or DeAngelo Williams.

Did I miss a schedule release? Beyond the 6 games against the division and whoever the NFC division in the rotation this year(NFC North maybe) how do you know its a tough schedule

For the life of me can’t figure out how you quoted HeinzMustard and got Mike T’s name attached to it :lolol:

I agree though and also disagree with HM about Watt, he’s every bit as good as Miller and can easily surpass 11 sacks that Miller had in 2015.

That is a pretty good trick. I mean, you can replace the script info in the opening "QUOTE=" brackets, but knowing Heinz copyrights most of his negative Steeler predictions I would think STD would stay away from that. ;)

It could have been an error editing/deleting a multi-quote.

Ben actually played well in that game. IIRC, it was an untimely fumble like in SBXLV that ruined our chances.

It wouldn't have mattered if Steelers had won. Patriots would have destroyed them the following week in Championship.

I always mused at that idea. As a division winner the Steelers will play the other 3 AFC division winners from last year, other that that they play the same schedule as the other teams in their division. I have no idea if the Steelers will field a better or worse team than last year...many holes to fill for sure. Other teams seem to be ascending, but you just never know what is going to happen.

Nope...Sadly Rooney would never! They named the rule AFTER Rooney! " The Rooney Rule" ...Does anyone believe the man who's name is named after the Rule...Would then fire a Black Coach, I don't...He would be roasted!
