Now this is the biggest dream put on display in this thread so far, only a select few have the power to lock up a thread. Ahh the life of a Mod, pure nirvana, I'd give up all my supermodel girlfriends, sport cars, mansions, yachts and millions of dollars to reach such heights :wizard:

Lol. I'm saving up my money just to be able to go and see us against the Titans and here is STEEL dang sitting in sky boxes and hobnobbing with celebs! Oh well I'm actually happy for the guy and I don't begrudge his success at all.

I think we should hold off on all the jazz until he is here to at least defend himself. In the meantime HACK you should make a you tube video about Hitler being mad about Lawrence Timmons not being able to catch Peyton Manning. Now THAT would be AWESOME! Someone made one last year when we lost to Tebow and it's strangely cathartic to watch.

First of all, he invited abuse, it would be impolite not to accept and as for the second part of your post, I saw that video and it's hysterical :roflmao:

I've been holding off on asking this but I'm gonna do it. Is the sarcasm he's taking from all the guys because you don't believe him about all the things he was saying or you just think that he went a little overboard in showing his connection to the sport of football? I don't mean this to be taken in a bad way or anything. I'm just curious about people's motivations.

Myself...I hope it is true....but if I were to bet....I would bet no....and this has nothing to do with feelthesteel himself....I don't know him, or anything about him....but I do know a little bit about "people on the internet"

People who actually are who they say they are.....love to talk about it...but also drop a picture here or there....Heck...I drop camp pictures every year....I don't just say "I WAS AT CAMP" I show pictures of it. Good friend of mine met former Steeler JT Thomas last week at a burgh function...and there must be 50 pictures of them together..and her wearing his Super Bowl ring. (#4)

As a stand up...I have had the pleasure of working with and hanging out with a lot of celebrities.....but I rarely talk about it....and when I do.....I often post a picture of it....lets be honest...we all have a camera with us 24/7 anymore. That being said....Don't forget to watch my buddy Billy Gardell in Mike and Molly on CBS.

But for every person that actually does have a true story to tell....there is a 48 year old overweight bald man pretending to be a 21 yr old female Swedish super model who loves to have cyber activities with a comedian who knows Billy Gardell.

    But I digress

Feelthesteel owes none of us anything....he is free to say and live his life how he sees fit...and its you, the reader, that has to decide if someone is full of it or not......That being said...if you want some kind of "board cred" which I would think someone saying how they have the inside scoop does indeed want....You would pull out that camera phone....drop a few shots of the field from your luxury box.......or a picture with Coach Tomlins arm around you.

but again....I hope he is truly getting to live his life as he said....because how awesome was that...and it gives hope to us mother basement dwellers who spend hours watching and grading tape....just to come on here to this little Steeler playground and share our knowledge with people who can't figure out where we find the time to do it.

Very good points Hack and its good to know your well connected. Love Mike and Molly and especially Billy. Guy is a riot. There are very few people in show biz that I can say I would wish to hang out with but he is definitely one of them. You know guys that you would love to have a beer with :)

The internet is a mysterious media because you can be whoever the hell you want to be. You can be tall, good looking and love to take long walks on beaches or you can be some big tough keyboard warrior type of guy but you just know when someone is taking shots at ya and calling you out it's usually some young pimply faced punk that could not lick his own lips let alone lay a beating on ya lol

You know what is kinda weird when you think about it? Often I wonder if someone here has posted in the past that was actually a player and or coach. I mean you would never believe them anyways if they were to announce it here on the forum and they likely would not want anyone to know but you can almost guarantee at some point a player has posted something or at the very least read some of the stuff here and on the old message board.

There are alot of very talented coaches on this board at various levels (IMHO) and there are some that have a better understanding of the game and seem to take alot of time and go into great detail to help us all understand. I have learned so much from everyone here.. Some useless, some useful and some just down right funny.. lol ( cardigan sweater and pimply dan immediately come to mind)

Good post Hack.. Now show us some video or pics of you doing standup :)

That's funny that you were talking about the "tough keyboard warrior" because just the other day my buddy came up to watch MNF and he was saying that he had a heard a new term for people who get in fights on twitter and Facebook and boards. It's called "Twitta Solja" LOLOLOLOL! There's bound to be at least one in every bunch! The turn this thread has taken reminds me of the Brad Paisley song called "online" and it's HILARIOUS! Go to you tube and watch the video if you get the chance. You would definitely think that some of the people on this board fall in to the category. Lol.

Since the thread has fallen into such complete and utter disarray anyway I would like to touch on one of "feelthesteel's" first points before he really got going. It is my hope that no one has been chased off of posting on the board because of the cliquish nature of some of the more active members. It is a message board and sometimes you have to post numerous times to people's attention and establish your online identity. I am not saying that people need to go all prison mentality and pick a fight with the biggest person here but that i hope people aren't discouraged by lack of response to a newbie's post or some snarky responses to them. I have an ever growing list of people whose posts I ignore because it is not worth taking the time to get into with them while there is an equally growing list of people that I will have discussions with that can stretch on for days. My advice to anyone that is easily offended message boards aren't for you but it you like to discuss football, I mean really discuss then there is no place better than this home that TTF has created for us. In short don't be scared we are all Steelers fan here.

I also agree that I hope people don't come here and feel like we are all a bunch of elitists. But I will admit when I see a thread started by someone that I don't know I usually tend not to look at it and that's probably kinda snobby. I don't mean to be that way but I guess I just figure when I see someone new they might just be getting on here to make that point and don't plan on staying to expound upon it like a lot of people do.

Very good approach.. At least that way you remain unbiased and tend to read for the quality rather then the penmanship.

No, I don't believe him and his full all out attack on a member he wasn't even in a discussion with was asinine, he even threw the people who are friendly with Snack under the bus. Listen, as a rule of thumb, don't come on a message board making sensational claims like that and picking fights. He even signed it "have at it bitches". Of course he is going to get killed. And if what he said is true, then like Hack said, you better back it up with proof. And even then it will be met with some doubt, people steal photos on the internet all the time, we don't know what the guy looks like, how would we know. People who are for real, carry themselves a certain way, you can get a feel if they are legit, for instance the way Hack spoke of his association with some famous people comes across as totally believable. Feelthesteel came across as phony as can be.

To answer someone elses question that I saw, Curt Shilling used to post on the MLB Redsox board. My first board ever was when I was a member of the Yankees board, got wind that some guy was posing as Curt on the Redsox board, some people believed him some didn't. I got a sense from reading his posts that he was legit, some time later a small story broke that he was indeed posting, think it was even under his current handle now, 27outs? Something like that. Knowing what a mouth Schilling is, it's totally believable that he would go around posting on message boards :lolol:

I actually put up a thread a month or so ago asking people if they thought that players ever got on here. Noone really replied to it so I just figured peole thought I was crazy for even asking it. I was telling TTF that I was gonna make a little sign and take it to a game with me and hold it up in front of them while they do warm ups so see if I could get any of them to come over and chat with us. He just laughed and thanked me for the free advertising. Lol.
