whats cool is the kid is only blaming himself not the surgeon.. thats really cool.. but if hes given the instructions .. WORK THE FINGER... EXERCISE IT .. and somehow he get not to move it out of that .... how the hell we will he ever learn a play book to run routes.. but supposedly he was a great route runner in college... but he just seems fragile to me .. i mean when hes tackled those D guys are going to be twisting the piss out of his fingers while hes down on the ground.. .. i would if i was a DB that just tackled him. seems like a great kid thats a bit fragile (must be italian ,,greatest line ever in a movie) and maybe not real bright? i guess right nwo i see nothing that changes our 8-8 from the last 2 years .. but again if we went 10-6 or 6 and 10 i wouldnt be shocked ..

Agree..sounds like a permanent fix is inorder :butcher: Seriously we don't need this going forward.. as someone mentioned we have other WR's licking at the chops to be part of the team. The org. needs to (prioritize) pay attention to these situations more than previously. Injuries woes are still fresh in the minds of Steeler Nation. I realize injuries are inevitable but for Pittsburgh it's been a plague.
Not taking away from Wheaton he has talent it's more the negligence doc or patient ref. care-rehab. That being said let's get it right and move on!

yeah its strange . i recently broke a toe... the little toe at that .. and had to have a pin in it for 6 weeks.. had to wear a walking sandal for 6 weeks... and i had ot go to the toe surgeon every 10 days till i was released on the fourth visit .. and it was a toe.. a little toe on an non athlete .. i mean they coudl amputate it and life would be fine... then take wheaton? a athlete with his entire career ahead of him and no one is keeping an eye on his "moneymakrers" (his hands/fingers) maybe i have better insurance then the NFL hahah... but i doubt it .. seems someone dropped the ball.. oh is that negative.. ooops .. sorry

I'd rather a transplant from a WR who could actually catch the ball.

He was targeted all of 13 times and had broken fingers, not a great sample size to be drawing any conclusions.

Torry Holt of the Rams had a similar thing with a finger and he had a decent career.

I would give him a chance to catch before saying he can't, at this point.
    but,
This is the year he has to get it done.
