What do you think was said to Wheaton after Sylvester got his walking papers? Sylvester's injury was due to Wheaton's overzealous post-whistle play.

Sylvester's play at LB has been below the line and with Baxter, Williams and Wilson coming on strong there was no room for him. It's time for players to be held accountable for below the line play and no one can say he was cut because of the injury, he just didn't perform.

Sly had his chances, had nothing to do with Wheaton. Sly NEVER produced, and had a hard time staying healthy. If your going to play (atleast it use to be this way) for the PGH Steelers you have to learn to play thru injuries. Time to put on the big boy pants.

While Sly's injury was surely the last straw, as has been mentioned above, Sly played himself off this roster. I didn't see the talent coming out of Utah, and never saw it in the NFL. Just doesn't have the talent. I think Vince Williams has already showed more than Sly ever did.

I agree...I dont think you can blame Wheaton for playing hard.
