The NFL should just do away with kicking all together and leave that for soccer and rugby. Kickers are mental AF. Boz got paid and now he sucks.

I guess if Boz goes over the edge we could pick up Caleb Sturgis:)

At some point, they really are going to have to consider replacing Boswell. The tie in the opener is on him. The extra points haven't cost them a game yet, but it's only a matter of time and there is no real reason to trust him on a big field goal attempt.

Steve Blass had it as a pitcher and didn't Chuck Knoblauch have it as well?

Field goals missed already cost us the win in the first game against Cleveland.

Blass did have some problems but as an avid Pirate fan he is my hero.

Mets catcher Mackey Sasser couldn't throw the ball back to the pitcher at times. The other team would steal bases while his throw to the mound was in the air. He could rifle it second base though, no problem. He had 'the yips', same with Boswell.

This is kind of nice worrying about the kicker rather than the defense! If Boz is our only concern, we are in pretty decent shape.

It's Kris Brown all over again. The problem is staring coach in the face, he's going to have to do something about it.

But what if he doesn't? This argument can go either and wasn't really my point. Should have probably left the last part out. My real point is that this is a much nicer concern to talk about than our defense for a change.

That's true, but if Bos hits his kick with all those same circumstances, the Steelers would have a W instead of a T.

    Then the Steelers win! :drinks:

The Steelers kickers have always made me nervous. Even Gary Anderson.

Good point! I never really thought about it before, but I think I've always taken the nerves of kicks for granted. So much can go wrong with a kick!

Hence why teams value a long snapper so high.

Remember when Harrison tried long snapping? I wasn't nervous that day, I knew the snap was going to go wrong before he even touched the ball!
