Yes!!! I said the same thing. Why the hell is he out there tackling with fractured fingers? If he can tackle, he can catch.

Maybe Coates can request to wear some soccer goalie gloves with the finger save spines.... super grippy too

Probably doesn't want to let the team down like the Cowboys game trying to catch a football with 6 fingers. Team is hoping we can get him back somewhat healthy towards the end of the year. He feels he can contribute on special teams instead of sitting on the bench. I don't see the issue. Steelers are usually really good with player safety but they mishandled his injury something serious.

If we're talking Richard Sherman, the tackle comes first.

I'm knew losing Bryant would be big but it's really starting to hit me how big of a loss he is. The way teams are game planning to take AB away they just couldn't do with Bryant on the field it would be impossible without being destroyed. We are underestimating how young our WRs are especially without DHB who I don't think ever really truly gained Ben's trust....I know Wheaton doesn't get much fanfare around here but I think his presence could of softened the blow quite a bit....gotta find away to get Green involved and shake off the cobwebs. We are going to need this offense playing its best from here on out to have a shot at anything...

I'm kind of surprised that he is trying to play with broken fingers.

Is he better with 4 broken fingers than guys with healthy hands?

Kind of makes you miss Martavis, what with Wheaton on IR with a shoulder, Coates with broken fingers.

Eli and Cobi should be steppin it up.

    Why be worried about Gilbert? - He's a non-entity.

I think Eli (UDFA) and Cobi (2013 6th rnder w/ Cincy, Miami, and Car) have stepped it up. Coates is the 3rd rounder who can't catch, broken fingers or not. I'd rather have a healthy DHB than Coates.
