    I heard that they were monitoring his knee anyway though, to see if it swelled a day after his first practice. I also heard it looks good. But between this board, the links I chase, and the tv, I can't remember where I heard it though. :oops:

    thanks for the heads up on both TTF. now lock everyone in a room until sunday night. no walking around, no sharp objects, have a food taster before anyone eats, etc,etc............... lockdown. :cool:

    Do they still give players shots like in the olden days of North Dallas Forty and stuff? Are those and anti inflammatory drugs legal in the modern game?

    Kind of. Toradol is a big anti inflammatory shot that is widely used. I'm sure there are probably others. I have no idea what the team policy or usage guidelines are. I know it's dependent on the team physician. Some teams are pretty lax and I know that some players have said they try to get a shot before every game, even without an active injury. It was mentioned in one of the lawsuits against the league by formal players.
