No hypothetically coulda would shoulda. I think most here were fine with trading a 6th round pick to evaluate what could have been a young franchise QB for the organization.

It turns out it didn't work out. There is a lot less to lose when evaluating a QB. I still think the idea was great. A couple million and a 6 round pick and the guy won 4 games out of 6 making money for the burgh.

I'm pretty sure the last thing on Rodgers mind is losing his job to Mason Rudolph.

He dictates the players he wants to play with and willingly throws guys under the bus to make that happen.
He doesn’t want to participate in offseason workouts to get in sync with his teammates.

Couple that with declining average to below average play while commanding a high salary and most don’t think his current play level is worth it.

It just seems Rogers is hesitant about something. Is he thinking about retiring? (That would.mean that yes he senses Rudolph might out play him, if he is thinking about hanging it up) I don't know

I really don't think he wants to play in Pittsburgh. I think he wants to be a Viking a team that is on the rise and won 14 games last year with Sam Darnold at QB. Rodgers probably thinks that he can take them further.

Ah, I get it the "misplaced" hat is saying he doesn't think the Steelers are the right fit for him, and he wants to play for the Vikings, he would feel "misplaced" playing for Pittsburgh, maybe i am reading to much into it, but yeah it starting to seem thay way, who knows

Why don't we just run with Russ and treat him like a vet and let him cook? As a qb, I dont think they want to play for Arthur Smith.
