What's Cookin? fish fry edition

I actually tried this,and We lost, but I do love it.

 

My Folks, and Grandparents made a bunch every year until My Grandparents passed....now I buy it from the store....it's never as good.

 

Chicken makes a good chili meat.

 

At the very least but it in a glass jar

Not a bag and definitely not a can

 

If it’s chicken

It’s not chili

Don’t even get me started on tofu chili

 

I have never eaten tofu....unless it was in something that I didn't know about. As for chili it's not the meat that makes it chili.
I make it with 3 meats(pork ,beef, and chicken), and with 3 different beans.

 

My wife is from New Mexico

In New Mexico it is legal to shoot anyone who puts beans in Chile

 

It would be impossible for me to eat that.

I do understand doing it for your GF though

 

Best Chili comes from Texas....not New Mexico.

 

I remember some years ago I was dating this girl and she invited me over for the first dinner. She made a tofu stir fry. Being a meatatarian I didn't want to say anything (for later benefits) but I could only stomach a few pieces but ate the stir fry and pieced through the tofu. She said I guess you don't like it! I said it was tasty but I am not a tofu fan. She understood and was happy I complemented the dish. Always be true to yourself!

In a previous millennium I went to dinner with a friends new girlfriend’s sister

I took her to a steak restaurant and she ordered a salad

Second date I took her to a German restaurant and she ordered a salad

That was it for that relationship

 

Beans are required. Otherwise it is just sloppy joe

I would like to try that authentic chili but I'm definitely a bean in the chili kinda guy.

Difference is chile vs. chili. True chili is not supposed to have beans........but, they're good!
