Going to go to a local tavern and having a NY Strip and a beer around 5 or so. Can't drink to much before these night games. Not a fan of them but you have to press on...

 

Just got home from weekend in Philly. Saw Hamilton and I'll tell you what, Politics has not changed at all since 1776. I wish they still had duels.

Yeah, Arthur Treacher was an Englishman who was a sidekick on the Merv Griffin Show. How he got into the fish and chips business I don’t know, but it was basically the same as Long John Silver’s. Good game food.

I am making sausage gravy on biscuits with Diet Dr. Pepper. I anticipate that the Steelers will stink up the joint, so if that happens I will turn the game off and watch an old James Bond movie, probably Thunderball. It takes place in one of my favorite places (Bahamas) and is mostly underwater, which I like.

 

Huge gathering for the game tonight. I have family in town. This is both good and bad. I love watching the game with my family. But I don't get to watch as intently as I would like to when there is a large gathering.

Anyhow, My Mom is making something she calls walking taco casserole, which sounds really good. She is also making a ginormous nacho tray, which is out of this world. I'm not even sure how she does it. My wife made up a cold cut tray with cheese and crackers. Plus we have 4 large Sicilian style pizzas coming from the best pizza joint in town.

Personally I may not eat anything till after the game. I plan on being drunk and rowdy to start the second half. Food will only keep me sober.

 

Lucky with all that I don't live next Door, or I would come a Knocking.

 

What is a steak finger ? Keeping it lite this week until Thursday, so grilled cheese and some tomato soup around halftime.

 

Too much going on today. Ordered pizza and wings. Coors Light and Shiner Bock.

 

thank God no more chili next week.
