After signing rookies, workouts, etc. The Steelers are projected to have 18 million.

Rodgers signing? Other signings? Roll over?

Not sure where you're getting this. Teams aren't limited on what they rollover so long as they use 89% of their allotted cap space over a four-year span (e.g., the 49ers rolled $50M over from '24 to '25 in an effort to buffer some large cap numbers this year.).

Teams must let the league know the rollover amount by 4 PM of the day after their last regular season game.

Actually wasn't even news or fake. It was me misreading.

.... see how easy that was without trying to twist or move the goal post?

Sign Aaron... assuming he gets here. Sign the Draft Class. Extend T.J. Watt. Keep at least 3 to 4 million in Cap Space for emergency signings.

    These would be my guesses.

I think they usually keep 6 million or more in cap space during the season for emergency signings.

Khan's been tricky to get a read on thus far. I didn't expect to go into last season with that WR room. Thought the Metcalf acquisition was a sign of a more aggressive approach in FA. Didn't think they'd be resting on Rodgers or Rudolph to start the season under center.

That aside, I've been wondering if they aren't planning to try extending Pickens. Technically they have plenty of space in 2026 ($113M), but they have only 28 on the roster - and that doesn't currently include Watt. So if they're looking to keep some of these high-dollar contracts, they could be looking to head in to next year with a surplus so as to avoid cap gymnastics, while also filling out the rest of the roster.

we must use 89% of the cap before we roll it over. i believe at this point we need to spend about 7 mil. more to reach that goal. depends on what the rookies cost and what we keep for emergency signings. it's somewhere in the 25 mil. range (roughly) that we could roll over this year. i think.
