Will Harbaugh go all out and play a lot his starters in attempt to keep the Steelers out of the playoffs because he hates them so much or will he rests a lot of his guys. I still think Harbaugh can’t be that dumb to risk playing Lamar Jackson seeing how badly he has gotten hurt the last two seasons and with everything Baltimore has in front of them. Doesn’t mean this game will be easy against the Ravens but I’d much rather face Tyler Huntley with everything on the line and a chance to go to the playoffs then Lamar Jackson. One more thing in relation to this game if you are Tomlin you have to make Kenny Pickett the backup QB in this game and not dress Mitch Trubisky. He is unplayable at this point and you can’t risk Mason potentially going down and having to turn to Mitch with the season on the line when Pickett is clearly healthy and ready to go.

I wonder do teams actually do that?? Games are at 1:00 I believe that matter to us. I just can't believe the Ravens would give a crap if we made it in.

Million dollar question, I guess that is why coaches and FO get paid much money to make
these decisions. Your damned if you do or damned if you don't. If key player gets hurt in
    this game????

You can’t sit everybody in this game but I can’t see Harbaugh being reckless to a point of playing Lamar Jackson this entire game. I don’t think he will play at all personally there is just too much to risk if your the Ravens throwing him out there in a game that means nothing to them of far as the playoffs are concerned.

With our edge rushers and the fact that they have Lamar running for his life and making errant throws. These reasons alone will keep LJ out of the game. They would be so foolish to play him.

He has set in other years the last week so I'm guessing lamar doesn't play. Happened in 2019 but they still won that game vs steelers

They asked Cowher about this on the post game and he was emphatic about resting guys in a meaningless final. This was something he did every time he had a chance- which led them to playing Brian St. Pierre at QB in a game at Buffalo in 2004 that the Bills needed to clinch a spot. And, the Steelers won that game, because one of the guys who got to play was a then unknown Willie Parker who torched them with long runs in the second half.

Getting back to the point, yes I believe that LJ does not play, just like in 2019, but there are only some guys you can sit.

Maybe their starters will play 1 or 2 quarters because of what happened back in 2019 for the Ravens when they rested their starters in the final week but they were upset in their first playoffs game

There's a rumor going around that the reason Pickett didn't dress, was because he didn't wanna backup Mason..

That would be rather odd but I suppose it's possible. KFP just does not strike me as the type. Seems like a team player.

I can't see them dressing Lamar. What would be the point? They have it all sign sealed and delivered.

Lets not forget how we have lost to two garbage teams. A team with a rookie head coach and QB.

I do feel a bit better with Mason at the helm. The savior of the Standard.

The crows and Hairball will still want to win. But Key players will be sitting as they should.

When was the last time we had this problem? Yea I know.

This is the most important difference in my estimation and you're correct if we had anyone other than MR in the pocket I would be uncertain and apprehensive about the Steelers even beating the Ravens backups.

Don't be surprised if Tomlin says that KP is now completely healthy and will be the starter against the Ravens. I know that would be absurd and ridiculous but still I think it is a possibility.

    They will rest their starters

And in true Tomlin fashion, the Steelers will be unprepared and lose to their back ups as we all sit here scratching our heads, perplexed again.

Former Ravens CB Chris McAlister that`s who JPJ reminds me of. Was watching some replays and it hit me .McAlister was a SOB but secretly I always liked him. Fiesty as heck lanky and just all round agitator.

IIRC, a backup linebacker by the name of James Harrison had a pretty good game against the Bills as well.

They will be focused on keeping as many key players healthy as possible going into the playoffs. I think they'll sit a bunch of players.
