Maybe Tomlin just didn't trust our defense if we punted?

    He is a fraud, inherited
a good team and franchise QB.
He won't last another two years.

Maybe using an exact game situation from yesterday was too specific. The point is, in a close game when you are trying to hold the opponent and get the ball back, every second matters. And not understanding when to use the timeout on the front end of the 2:00 warning costs you 5 valuable seconds. Coaches should understand this type of clock management but Tomlin does not.

I didnt see a second of this game live....Christmas tree chopping down day with the family. I have it on my DVR, but I think I will just delete it. Time management on this team has killed us ALL season.

Why should he trust the d? They gave up 3 td drives of 80 yards in the 2nd half and couldn't get off the field on 3rd downs. Might as well put the ball in the hands of your supposedly elite $100,000,000 quarterback.

if you punt the ball away you're giving the other team more room to complete plays,, keeping it tight makes it easier for this group of bums. ( i didn't watch the game, Thank god!!)

I had no problem with him going for it on 4th down. I'm surprised at how much negativity he is receiving for doing it. Where the mistake was mad was calling the timeout. I get that they really wanted to make sure they had the right play (which they obviously didn't), but you needed that timeout to save you time for when you didn't convert.

So, you trust them more on a short field?

Either way they would probably score. But you have a better chance if they move at least half the length of the field then putting them in the red zone.

I actually like that Tomlin went for it on 4th down. I think that was the right call. It would have been much better if he hadn't wasted a timeout. The idea is simple, try to hold them to a FG, get the ball back and win the game. Unfortunately we wasted 2 timeouts in the 2nd half which ate up a bunch of clock, plus our offence was unable to move the ball at the end of the game.

I hate Tomlin with every bone in my body, but I like that he went for it on 4th down.

Me too! Well, not actually chopping them down, just a tree lot. Put it up yesterday and decorating tonight. :yahoo:

Missed most of the game, did catch the last play and AB stepping out of bounds though, I thought that summed up our season nicely.

Bumping this up to confirm it. Ben's looking to the sideline for the play, Haley's calling the play, Tomlin calls a timeout, Haley looks annoyed and walks away from him. I'll grab a gif for your viewing pleasure later.

Someone has to go then, can't have this kind of discord, will probably be Haley, I know everyone is playing good soldier to the cameras but I don't think Haley is well liked.

No, you misunderstood, I'm talking about if there is infighting going on behind the scenes. I got the feeling Haley wasn't well liked last year and getting that feeling again this year. After last season several coaches jumped ship and not for promotions either and this year there has been references about Tomlin and Haley on the sidelines. Add into it Haleys off field issues, is it really hard to believe that he's an a-hole behind the scenes?

Maybe Haley should start taking cameras to record his good deeds like Tomlin does! LOL!

Maybe Haley thinks Tomlin is an idiot of a coach too, 90% of this board thinks the same thing. So why are people saying Haley is the problem, when it's Tomlin doing the bonehead moves?

Given the fact Haley stiffed 2 different business for a bill and trashed a house, wrote boohoo as a signature, my money is on Haley.

I know that the Haley's lost on the dog boarding thingy. What was the other business he/they stiffed and can you provide a link to the settlement of it, along with a link as far as the final case outcome on the house trashing dealy?

I tried a month or so back to find an outcome of the house trashing, but never was able to find where it had ever been settled one way or the other.

    thanks !!
