What to Root for

Yeah, that's what I was thinking through. If we both have a tie, and we end up tying at the end of the season - would the Ravens get the nod based on Common Opponents (tie > loss to the Chiefs)?

 

Chiefs seem determined to chuck this game.

 

Just looking at the scores today, if we had only taken care of business the last 2 weeks, we'd be in great shape for a bye and maybe even the top seed. God, I hate when we do this.

 

Man could’ve been playing for that bye Steelers lol

Do what? Choke the season away and opportunistic times? Nah lol

 

Didn't they lose to Cleveland? If so Steelers win Division

 

Finish the Ratbirds. Go Chiefs D

 

I'd have to look that up. Is a tie vs Cleveland higher in criticality for a division tie than Ravens tie vs. Chiefs? I would imagine so... right?

Yea you’re right. Even if we just win one of the Broncos/Chargers games they would be in great shape and could have afforded to still lose that game in New Orleans in two weeks as long as they beat the Pats next week. Now they are gonna have to win that game if they want to get a bye and still finish ahead of the Pats even if they beat them next week. That loss to the Chargers especially last week was so damaging.

Well after the results of yesterday here Matty you might have been right to root for teams like the Texans and Patriots instead of both the Colts and Dolphins. The funny thing is the Steelers got all the help they needed I was talking about yesterday morning this time to stay alive for the bye week and all they had to do was beat the Raiders the worst team in football to do so
and they couldn’t even do that. Now unless the Steelers beat either the Pats or Saints assuming you even beat the Bengals the last game you aren’t getting a wildcard spot at 8-7-1 in the AFC. Too many teams and too many unlikely scenarios that aren’t gonna work out for the Steelers finishing at 8-7-1.

 

One thing for sure the AFC is wide open and except for the stress the Steelers cause us this should be a fun last 3 weeks.
