Admitting that I have not scouted the Bengals, what schemes or game planning do you think we should do to play to our strengths?

    Offensively
    • I want a heavy dose of Bell, early and often. Proven track record, keeps the defense off the field, and may set up some good play-action passes deep.
    • Brown on crossing routes. He always has the chance for a big gain if Ben can hit him in stride. He is elusive
    • Hit Heath over the middle when you need 5-8 yards.
    • Bryant a few times
    • No bubble screens
    • No lateral runs
    • Maybe just a few screen passes.
    What I expect/hope for:
    • Bell with lots of all-purpose yards, no TDs
    • Brown with 1 or 2 big runs after the catch, 1 TD
    • Heath with some first downs
    • Bryant with 1 TD
    • 1 TD somewhere else
    • A couple of field goals on stalled drives, but only late in the game

    Defense
    • Strange for a Steelers squad, this is tougher as I don't see as many play-makers on D
    • Use Shazier's speed, if he's got it after sitting out, to chase down plays at the LOS
    • Stay in your lane and don't allow cutbacks
    • Mix up playing tight and playing off the receiver, with safety help over the top. Please prevent the big play.
    What I expect/hope for:
    • One strip sack/fumble recovery by Jones
    • One blocked pass and resulting interception
    • Allowing only two busted coverages for big gains
    • Lots of Bengal field goals

    Cardiac game, Steelers by 1.
