isn't gunner olszewski another option? anthony miller and steven sims as well for depth. cody white, tyler vaughns, ricco bussey. i had pickens in my mock but with boykin added, i think that position slides down the boards now. it's a deep position in this draft too.

Bush is an uncertainty, but a guy that hasn’t even been drafted isn’t?

Well, if a team performs a bad player evaluation like the Raiders did many times in Al Davis’ later years, they’re going to get bad results irrespective of their draft strategy. What I am saying quite simply is that if you’re on the clock and Player X is your highest rated player and fills a need, don’t play games thinking that you can pass on him and get him later. It doesn’t take a 32 team market to pluck that player away from you. It just takes 1 team that shares your view on the player. Bad decisions can and are made all the time by trying to get ahead of other teams because of the perception of where a player will be picked by someone else. Devin Bush?

Trading up to draft Ridder is the dumbest thing I've seen regarding the Steelers in any of the mock drafts.

The Raiders were enamored with speed and over drafted for it all the time. I feel like this year the Steelers acumen and judgment of the QB position is similar to the way the Raiders were in years past.... clouded and desperate. I would be shocked if we did not take a QB in the first. We just hired an assistant QB coach; either that is a tell tale sign right there or we are putting up one heck of a smoke screen.

    I will just have 2 say ....I agree 2 disagree...honorably.
I have seen all the mentioned Qbs play in weather so bad You could hardly get a pass off. Just 3 games in their whole careers could involve an average of 9 more tds, and less ints....with about....let's say ....100 more yards a game......now let's figure in 3 games a year. See how that would change everything. For Ben that would be 54 better games, Brady, and Rodgers well they haven't stopped yet...so....it could be way more by the time they are done.....So..

I’m not a huge fan of any of the quarterbacks this year, but I keep reading that Ridder is climbing into the first round. If he’s there at 20 and the Steelers truly believe he’s the guy I’m all for drafting him. However, please for the love of god don’t trade up for a project. My ideal draft would be Jordan Davis in the first and Ridder in the second.

Unfortunately, the Steelers don't follow this common sense model.

They just passed a new rule that all teams have to hire a new offensive assistant that is a minority.

Let me fix that for you.

Fortunately, the Steelers don’t follow this model.

I would rather see the Steelers trade up to get Hamilton.

I am all over the place with Hamilton, but I am now back on board with taking Hamilton to end the SS debate for the next 4 years. Hamilton on his rookie contract for the next 4 years allows us to break the Safety Bank and sign Minka to a 5 year $90 million deal.
