What if the Steelers played with deflated balls?

He could definitely do it...especially with lots of practice. The rules stipulate he is supposed to go directly to the field. You would think he would know this very simple rule but instead he chose to ignore it and enter a room with no cameras and a lockable door from the inside.....hmmmm.

He went into a bathroom. Maybe, just maybe, the guy had to take a piss. Publicly crucifying a ball boy with no evidence other than he was in a bathroom for 90 seconds is a little much. Brady and Belichek can handle the heat, but this is just a ball boy and there's no evidence that he did anything wrong.

None of this really matters now. Nothing will come of it. Again.

Tape walk throughs? Ignored, poo pooed, downplayed.

    Tape signals? Destroy all evidence.

It's reasonable to assume they've been deflating balls for years (drastic downward shift in fumbles beginning with the very year teams are allowed to bring their own), and only now got caught. But the apologists will demand a level of proof impossible to find, and the Pats will declare themselves exonerated unless you find video of Brady or Bellicheck themselves sucking the air out.

The NFL has too much to lose by having a team be outed as cheats. They'll continue to obscure, cover up and downplay.

    But we'll all know.

So the NFL can find a video of a ball boy taking a piss in a matter of days, but they could never get their hands on the Ray Rice video? Oh, OK.

If it's true that the cheats volunteered the tape to the league....what is it they are trying to prove, that it was someone beyond their control or knowledge. The NFL/Goodell seemed to know a hell of a lot that went on in the bathroom in Georgia enough to suspend Ben 6 games. Maybe he was only in their 90 seconds too.... All I know is the balls were deflated and the Colts were fine and it was no accident. At this point I could give a rats ass what the nfl's findings are, they cheated(again) and there will always be a * in my book.

They actually have a video of a dude peeing? This is just getting bizarre. Maybe the league is close to a deal with Skinemax and this is gonna be like the first ep of a new reality show about people in the NFL peeing or something???

I'm pretty sure it's illegal to video tape in the bathroom.

What id like to know is did/are they going to look at previous weeks video footage? It would be quite damning if the same ball boy stopped to piss on his way to the field before the Ravens game too.

And for the record, former Patriot punter Josh Miller believes that 90 seconds is plenty of time to deflate 12 footballs. Especially if you've done it before.

Oh! Lol! I thought they really had found something like that. I'm at the physical therapist right now and almost laughed out loud at that. The therapist is making fun of my steelers hoodie. I'm screwed. Lol.

    Who are you, Mr Kraft?

Maybe you're right. Maybe all he did was piss. But these are the facts of the case...

The Patriots balls were inspected before game time and found to be in compliance.
They were checked again and numerous balls were found to be down more than 2 PSI.
The Colts balls were cleared and checked in the same manner and at the same time and were in compliance both times.

Something happened between the refs clearing them and half time. 2 PSI disappeared from one teams balls and I have not heard one reasonable explanation yet. Not one. Theories have been floated, but given the facts of the case, every single one of them can be dismissed as not possible. So now we have a ball boy breaking protocol and ducking into the bathroom just before he hands them over to the teams. Coincidence? Maybe. But something stinks. And given the Patriots proven shady past, excuse us if we're 'crucifying' the ball boy. (actually we're just wondering)

As far as the ball boy being crucified, no one is doing that. And I don't think anyone outside of NEW ENGLAND will. 95% of the country knows that the Pats cheated and if he is the guy who let the air out of the balls, he was just following orders from either TB or BB or both. If it comes to be proven that he did it, he will take the fall (and a **** load of Mr Krafts cash) and I think only the Chowdaheads in New England bill buy it. THEY will be the ones to crucify him. The other 95% of the country will know that he was only a patsy in their scheme.

I think we need to have a trial.... and have Tom Brady try to show his football grip on a flat and properly inflated football..... funny feeling in my gut says he'll somehow look painfully awkward..... like OJ trying to put his gloves on in court.

It could take even less time to replace them with a different set of balls. Someone check that rest room for secret compartments!

Well said. Some people are conspiracy theorists and some go totally to the other end of the spectrum. Usually the truth is somewhere in the middle. We get into disagreements all the time on here about referee bias after a game. Some acknowledge the possibility and some say it never happens ,again usually the truth is somewhere in the middle. It's totally possible the ball boy was up to something and like you said the fact that he went against protocol its quite possible there was a agenda. I'm pretty sure he has experience with the task in hand,it wasn't his first rodeo. Take your piss before you are handed the "responsibility " of taking the footballs directly to the field. Everyone knows that there aren't any cameras allowed in any bathroom .....anywhere.

Nothing they have said and none of their explanations or actions are fooling anybody. There are So many holes in their stories, explanations and "experiments" that anyone outside NE finds it totally laughable. As Coach T would say they "obviously " did something and just like Spygate we may never know the full extent. It's a pretty simple all you have to do is follow the breadcrumbs.....

Now your little choo-choo has gone off the rails. :lolol:

My gut feeling is that this wasn't some great conspiracy concocted in a dark room by BB, TB, and Kraft but rather Brady telling the ball boy to make the balls a little more comfortable to me before you bring them to the field. Maybe a little conspiring between the two of them as to where to do it (the pisser) because thats the ONLY place where there cannot be a camera and there will never be visual proof, but nothing vast. IMO Kraft doesn't (didn't) know about it and maybe even Belicheat himself. This could have all been done by Brady and the ball boy.

Josh Miller was actually saying on the radio this morning that he knows this guy. He's been with the team for 12 years and was there when he punted for them.

Guy takes the balls into the restroom. Provides opportunity. So now there is opportunity + Motive.

Some people could kill a man in 90 sec.. Some people could fully assemble a weapon and kill a man in that amount of time. For a guy - whose NFL caliber job is to handle footballs; to remove some psi in 90 sec. seems possible. Though it could be a red herring since it was submitted by the Shady Belicheats.

How did we get to where we are with the bathroom? Didn't the team have the balls under their control for like 10-15 minutes? I don't think it's too much of a deductive leap to think that a well practiced ball boy could deflate the balls with a needle with one hand inside a ball bag.

Is there a conspiracy theory out there that ties the Patriots Super Bowl victory drought to DeflateGate?

That is the sad part. We started talking about 1 or 2 PSI of inflation and the difference between them and because that wasn't ridiculous enough, now we've moved whether or not 90 seconds is long enough for a man to take a leak.

That speaks of the intricacies and depths that the Cheats will go to to, well...cheat.
