So now on to the 2012 season. Where does our team stand? I am looking forward to seeing what the Steelers do in the draft and free agency. If Art is truly wanting to get the team back to a "pound the ball" mentality, then he needs to make Colbert and Tomlin aware that they can be spenders in the offseason and pick up some linemen.

It m ay be a little too early, but what are everyone's thoughts about what the Steelers need to do to dominate the AFC next season? Can we still rely on some of the old pieces? Harrison, Clark, Troy? Who is going to replace the many players who'll be departing? Is Snack done?

This is the first offseason in a long time where I sense so many questions needing to be answered.

What do they have to do? Three easy things...

    1. Make playoffs.

    2. Win 2-3 playoff games.

    3. Get on a plane.

Tough to say where the team stands with no OC and not having the draft yet.

    1. find an OC that can game plan
    2. sign/draft 2 OG's that can start on day 1
    3. figure out a way to get a pass rush
    4. figure out a way to get turnovers
    5. stay healthy

With a new OC and a lot of Vets likely moving on, plus with the salary cap stuff this team is up against we will need strong leadership and commitment by Ben and the remaining stars more than ever (in this recent era) and as much or more by the coaching staff to create a fire of desire and professionalism combined with preparation and swagger. Because this will be a young squad who will need to be led as opposed to police themselves and lead as a complete unit.

Our stars and coaches need to step up BIG TIME. Or we will just continue to be a playoff team for a long time as opposed to a championship caliber team. (and continually picking late in the draft with and empty hand to show for it)

Doesn't seem out of reach to me, but tough for sure. :yeehaw: :clapping: :herewego: :swordsman:

When you get down south, jump on I-10. Goes right through New Orleans
Don't hit me. I couldn't stop my fingers.

Bring in an OC who will ensure the success of the short passing game and the running game.
We need a top NT again. Whether that's Hampton (doubtful he can still do it), through FA or the draft, without a top NT, we will continue not to get pressure on the QB.
Hood needs to start playing like a 1st round pick.
    Ben needs to play smarter.
Our DB's need to play better. Despite being ranked 1st, we played terrible offences all year long. Our DB's are still pretty weak.

If you do go make sure you get to Bourbon Street, hear some jazz, have a fine expensive Creole meal, and a cheap Cajun one.

I was there in 1977 and 1988. In 77 there was a restaurant named Tujax (Too Jacks). I got a 7 course meal for $2.75. I was there a week and ate there every night. I loved that joint. I went back in 88 and all I could find was Tujax Pizza.

I still think my 3-step plan is the most solid of anyone.

This would be a good start, I feel the Steelers must be PLAYERS
in the draft or FA this year to reload the talent on the roster that will be needed
    after the purge.
