Barring Fitzpatrick since he just joined the team via trade.

I say it's TJ Watt, not JuJu. Watt is young, has shown potential at a valued position (rush LB), has no off the field concerns and the pedigree. I think we could trade him for a 1st round pick if we wanted to (not saying we should).

JuJu had a great year last year, but this year will either show he is a true WR1 or a glorified WR2. So far it's looking closer to the latter.

Too much value put on #1 picks. They are 1 player out of 11 on the field and there is no guarantee they will shine in the NFL. NFL Network did a piece on the 22 starters on each team and where they were taken in the draft. It was eye opening.

We have 16 udfa players on our team. Not only did 32 teams for 7 rounds pass on these guys but most were cut loose by other teams after tryouts. It's not always about draft picks and the rounds taken.

You made me curious so I looked some stuff up.

13 of 17 WR's last year over 1000 yards were drafted in the first 2 rounds.

21 of 22 players with double digit sacks were drafted in the first two rounds. 18 were first rounders.

11 of the top half(16) of TE's in yards receiving were drafted in the first two rounds.

11 of 18 of top RB's in yards were drafted in the first two rounds. If bell would've played it would probably be 12 of 19.

13 of the top half(16) of QB ratings were QB's drafted in the first two rounds.

Seems like those top two rounds are pretty important.

    David DeCastro.

    Stephon Tuitt.

    T.J. Watt.

    JuJu Smith Schuster.

That is about it for me. Not too many other players worth trading. Either those players are too old or their is insufficient info. for them to warrant one.

I understand the OP asked for which specific one. However, there is more than one. Not too many but some.

On the Terrible Podcast they said if the Steelers lose the next 2 games, they should try and trade Hargrave to get a pick, he's probably gone after the season.

I suggested that before but they'd have to get his compensatory value at least. Being that he was a 3rd rounder and has been a starter for 3 years, I would guess we'll get at least a 4th for him. So if they could get at least a 4th, it would be higher than the comp pick anyway.

I don't know if I see a team giving up a 4th or higher to rent a player for 10-12 games. They might I guess.

Maybe a if a contending team thought they would have a good chance re-signing him, I would take a 4th for him, our run defense sucks so far.

I don't think anyone outside of Pittsburgh has a clue who Hargrave is. I doubt we'd get anything for him. Maybe a conditional 6th or 7th rounder.

I don't think the average fan outside Pittsburgh knows who he is, but that isn't relevant. NFL general managers all know who he is. I expect they have a decent amount of information on any starter.

Its a QB driven league. Teams either already have a franchise QB or they covet one desperately. Rudolph's trade value might be higher than you think, especially if he lights it up the next game or 2.

just depends. How many years are we talking about in those top rated guys. You have 69 guys rated there. There are 64 drafted in those two rounds every year. The percentages change over a 5 year period of more. It is a deal shoot. DHB, dupree, Jarvis jones, lame ass sweed were all taken in those first two rounds.
