OK, I'm projecting forward here but should the AFCCG be a re-match of last years what could Tomlin say or do to get them over the damn patriot hump??? The pats have to be in some of their heads at this point. I don't think a rah-rah type speech would have much effect.

I believe the lower seed from WC weekend would go to NE and we get the highest surviving seed. I'm betting Jacksonville comes back to the Burgh and Ben will not hand them the game this time. Needless to say I'm hoping to witness a true miracle in Foxboro on Sunday. J -E -T -S :)

Along the same lines, say nothing, just paste this inside every player's locker:

I'll be okay if KC or Bal beat NE during the divisional round.

I think its a lot more about what the players do or don't do than what Tomlin says....

I think all Tomlin needs to do is come up with a good game plan and make sure his players can execute what ever plan his staff has come up with. Nothing needs to be said...the players are all well aware of the situation. I personally would like to see Ben call most of the plays. Let Ben win or lose this game because that is our only chance. When Ben calls the plays we move the ball.

IMO we easily would have beaten the patriots last game if we could have just slowed down their running game. (or not got screwed by the officials) I know everyone is focused on Gronk, but IMO if we could have prevented them from getting 5 yards on every carry I think we would have blown them out. They didn't run much but they had success at key moments. If we forced them to punt 2 or 3 times more... that game would have been a blow out. Their RB Lewis averaged 5.2 yards per carry. Giving Brady 2nd and short is a recipe for disaster. Maybe if we can hold Gronk to 100 yards receiving AND keep their YPC to under 4 then we could give them an ass whooping. I have a feeling they are going to try and run more if we meet them again. I do actually like our chances beating them in NE. I think with Haden and Brown back and a healthy O-line we could kick their ass. Of course as long as the officiating allows it. If we have to beat the officials then game over, we're screwed.

Here's a bigger question to contemplate....What is Tomlin going to say if we get knocked out of the playoffs because of James Harrison making a play?

Well, for all the NFL conspiracy theorists, since the NFL so BADLY wants attention and drama (which is why the notion of 'what a catch is' will never be fixed), it would seem they would now, more than ever, want that Pit-NE rematch in the AFCCG. Will be interesting to see how the calls go in the divisional round that might nudge things in that direction....

The Steelers hung with the Pats and if not for the way the game ended, could have won. The team knows this now, and shouldn't let the Pats be "in their heads." And they should stay pissed about how the last game ended and carry that into the game without it letting them be sloppy.

What Tomlin will say is: "So this is how John Madden felt in the 70s."

Nothing needs to be said... They know they can beat em outside of all the ref/go conservative/ab injured/James is there now crap and BS aside. They can beat em! They know it. That said, need to worry about the next entree up on the menu before they get there!

I think the chance to pocket 183K for each player in playoff money should be enough incentive if they win the SB, even if they dont win it they still make a 129K:

In the Divisional Round, players on every team will receive equal shares of $27,000. That number jumps to $49,000 for the Conference Championship round. Players on this year’s Super Bowl team winner will earn a double share of $107,000, compared to $53,000 for the losing team.

I think all he has to do is remind them that we had the game won, and simply didn't finish (and yes, I know that a key reason we didn't finish was questionable decision-making by our coaches late in the game).
