Anybody catch what cam said after the game??..In the middle of his interview he says that he doesn't wanna call anybody out!...This is your defensive captain.THAT IS PART OF YOUR JOB....Not a lot of talent, and even less leaders on this defense is a big problem...This defense has absolutely no swag...I heard that since 50 went down that this defense has been giving up an average of over 30 point a game..Digest that for a minute.

sometimes its good to not point fingers, trying to keep the locker room together. once you start pointing fingers you lose trust/chemistry between players. Even though the whole defense sucked.

He doesn't want to call anyone out in public.

    Probably a good idea.

I’m thinking he didn’t want to publicly call anyone out. Behind closed doors may be a different story?

Yup, he meant publicly because he was calling them out on the sidelines.

We have too many newly aquired FA and Rookies playing on this defense for this defense to be good.

2008 Defense was a veteran team that played together for years.

As well he shouldn't...publicly. Too much of that already.

dollars to donuts, he was hollering at them in the locker room.

2008 was also a talented defense.

Most of that D played together for years... but there were newbies: Woodley and Timmons. Both were a lot better than we what we have now.

What's to say? He was part of a defense that got shredded. He should as well as all the players and coaches need a gut check.

Tomlin needs to come out and say that the defensive effort was unacceptable and put everyone on notice. Now back to reality...

Jacksonville got good with 7 out of 11 players being new and a new coach with a new scheme in 1 camp and preseason. The coaches have a lot to do with this and I'm on the fire Tomlin bandwagon for that reason. Every season for the last 5 the defense looks the same and the drafted guys have athletic ability but really aren't good at their positions. Burns, everyone said he was a reach and he looks like it so far, Davis is horrendous, he just doesn't get it, Dupree is a solid bust. That is all on Tomlin, just like the Jarvis Jones deal, and the only reason Tomlin has winning records is that we have a franchise QB, wait until Dobbs is under center with this current defense on the field, it will be ugly.

Cam can't call anybody out, him and Tuitt are the two highest paid players on defense and both were invisible just like in the playoff loss to the Jags.

I was wondering the same thing, because it's almost impossible for players to be that bad on defense. Its bad scheme, bad communications, bad football awareness, bad tackling, bad coaching. Enough already about young secondary, its a total bad defense including linebackers and defensive line play.

Our DEs are too damn slow. I think this is the root of a lot of the problems on D. I hate to say this because it's giving a compliment to an enemy... but Steelers desperately need a player like Terrell Suggs who can play both 3-4 OLB and 4-3 DE. I don't know where the hell you can find a player like this in the college ranks... but Steelers need more speed up front.

That's the problem with players these days - as soon as they make 1 good play, they thump their chests and think they can call out others for not doing their part. He, along with almost everyone on that D, needs to do a gut check.
