What are the chances, even if we make playoffs we are the Peacock only game?

My problem is I got so use to the pay channels and zero ads that I can't go back. Love the DVR for fast forwarded them.

Technology sure is sweet but it's going to cost you.

So many different ways to skin a cat, well in this case to watch our Steelers for free. Pandoras box has been opened years ago.
Stroll the internet you will find what you seek.

True, but... I think the point is where the line should be drawn between a reasonable making of money and greed. Streaming options were generated not only as technology revolutionized but as an option for those that had tired of cable packages that continued to strategically bloat with channels many didn't want to pay for, while siphoning segments of popular channels off to different packages at additional costs so a corporate could increase its profits.

The NFL and media companies make billions upon billions worldwide every year, with profits increasing at a rate much greater than the income of the majority of its audience. How much money is enough?

I agree, but in no business model do You make it difficult in every way trying to show off Your product, and that is what they are starting to do. Your talking to someone that has had Sunday Ticket since 1997...I don't know when it started, but that's when I started with it. That's all I needed....because everything else was on a channel somewhere else on DTV if it wasn't on Sunday Ticket.....now its ....on Amazon....it's on YouTube....it's on peacock. You can't just have one place anymore, and the more people keep getting different ones too keep up....the more they will put it on different places. Before You know it ....You will pay to watch one game on CBS stream, Fox stream, Amazon, and so on. You will be paying for 7, or 8 different services just to watch one dang season of football.

Hell it's been so long...O can't truly remember, but I do remember going to the store , and just buying the set up, and taking it home, and installing it myself. I remember the 1st time I got into a argument with them...they were like well send the equipment back....I was like hell...I bought it. LoL. That's how it was back then....there was no rental fee, or all the other stuff. You bought it at a dealership....took it home installed it , and called a number. LoL

I understand businesses are in business to make money, i cant agree more. But herein lies the problem , and this is a historical known problem, when you start screwing your consumers to make an absurd amount of profit. Once again, that is what you are in business for, but getting too greedy will cost you and your business in the end. We are called consumers for a reason, we will find someone cheaper.

What like 30 years ago. It’s $300 now. Small price to pay for all the games you get to watch

Kind of like how the Razorback hogs got slaughtered by UCONN in the NCAA men’s basketball tournament last year!

Ha! Just had to give the jab since I’ll never be able to talk any trash about UCONN football beating any FBS team. It was a butt kicking of a game. I guess you didn’t watch it?

I definitely get the greed part and it would be much easier if it was all in one place. But they bid this stuff out and people seem to have no problem paying for it so what’s the incentive for the NFL to stream line it.
I have YouTube tv, peacock, prime and paramount+. It costs just a little over $100 per month total. I was paying more than that for Directv alone. im personally fine with it and I can afford at this stage of my life. I understand some people can’t.

I really can't say much about the Razorbacks. We haven't done much outside of track, and field...in a long while. Almost had a baseball championship a few years back, but choked. It's hard to compete every year against the Bamas, the Florida's, the Georgia's, the LSUs, and now they add Texas, and Oklahoma. Poor ole Razorbacks. LoL

And there was a time some of us were quite content with rabbit ears and a little foil if needed

    upload_2024-1-5_22-40-45.jpeg

We were camping up near allegheny national forest with no radio reception not even in the car

My buddy ran wire of some type up the house and across the eaves

Then he kept cutting the wire an inch at a time and eventually added foil

    Radio for hockey came in
    Loud and clear

Here is the sad part, us as consumers can stop it. No demand price will come down. But just like many silly NFL owners people will pay outrageous prices for a product.
