    Found something interesting today about Ben's elbow. Some say it is similar to what happened to Terry Bradshaw. Did some research on this subject and found out that Pittsburgh Post Gazette Writer Gerry Dulac answered this question in one of his chat transcripts; January 22nd, 2020 being the date.

    Here is what he had to say;

    "The difference is that Bradshaw had surgery, didn't tell anyone, and started throwing before he should have because he thought his arm felt good. That set him back for the entire season and he was never the same. That's the difference."

    Gerry does have a point on both fronts. I do not think that the medical expertise of the times aided Bradshaw in any way during his era; a bonus for Ben. More importantly though, even bypassing that, Terry rushed back into action whereas Ben is taking it slow. There is a much bigger picture to this though; money.

    Today's players do net big time contracts. However, that is not just their major form of income. Endorsements, marketing deals and TV Appearances are just but a number of ways these players get paid now. Biggest reasoning behind all of this belongs to the different forms of media today. Nevermind the newspaper and TV, the World Wide Web has played a COLOSSAL part in some of these players meteoric rises to fame and fortune; JuJu Smith Schuster being one of the biggest names in the NFL today.

    In Terry's days, winning meant fame and fortune. For that matter, winning meant everything for that was the only way to market not just oneself but the team. In today's league, it does matter but not at the same level of significance it once did when players like Terry Bradshaw were in their prime. Winning still means fame and fortune but individualism is rewarded even more so depending on the player.

    Prime example?! See Odell Beckham Jr.
