while it sucks - it was bound to happen eventually. let's just hope it is a single season outlier but past evidence does not strongly support such a hope.

Well, it's the perception of other teams' fanbases. There's really no wrong or right...a matter of opinion and it seems that the perception of the Steelers has dropped dramatically in 2 games.

 

Exactly. Cmon folks! If I ever need CPR I hope none of you folks are around because you give up way to easily! I'm as pissed as anybody about our start. But I fully expect the Steelers to win no less than 10 games this season.

 

Such a statement for a franchise that has not been relavent since the early to mid 2000s is quite intriguing to me.


Either way, this, to me, is a non issue on whatever fanbase believes.

I don't see it. Unless the defense does a total 180... Dupree becomes the next Lloyd, Haden stays healthy, LBs and Safeties learn to cover TEs, DEs start getting sacks, etc.

 

During the 1989 season the Steelers came up 3 points short of the AFC Championship game.

They lost the first 2 games of the season 92-10.

I have been very critical of their defense on plenty of posts but I never really thought it would be this bad.Call it denial but I’m not jumping on the bandwagon yet as far their season being done in only two games this year.Trap game!!!!You have to be kidding me!It’s the Buccaneers not the Patriots!It’s very easy to criticize when they look like crap and deservingly so but it’s two games into the season!Give me a few more games to make a call!

It's going to be hilarious when Pittsburgh goes on a 5-game winning streak.

 

I don't see it happening.

 

You know, Tomlin's teams have a history of playing to their level of competition. Since the Steelers seem to suck right now maybe it's a good thing. They can only play better.

 

It'll be fun to hear about how the winning is all due to the players when the losing is all due to the coaches.
