With Bush, our Safeties should be able to stay in their lanes instead of trying to make up for the deficiencies that our existing ILBs have.

Ding Ding Ding. This so much. People underestimate how much a quality ILB changes the game.

The best part is that Joey Porter isn't here to screw up Bush's development.

The question is who's calling the defense this season?

He's gonna be sporting a backwards "12" on his jersey... at least he will after hits Brady so hard his decal peels off and sticks to DB's chest.

    :hehehe:

Would love to see the look on the yinzers faces if Bush got #58 or #59. Lambert's and Ham's jerseys are not retired. If 88 and 82 can still be worn... why not 58 or 59?

Actually... numbers 32 and 52 should be the next jerseys retired, IMHO.

White ran a 4.42 40 at the combine.Bush ran a 4.43.Maybe in realtime football speed which is what really counts but When you look at the tape of both players it is kind of a tad.

Bush ran the 3-code slightly better, White ran the shuttle slightly better. Feels like a wash to me.

Trai definitely loves it. People love this move and saying Steelers hit it out of the park. I was always 50/50 on Bush, I saw the potential for greatness but didn't know if it would translate to the pros. All this love is making me feel good about the pick.

They aren’t retired, but they don’t give them out.

I do like the pick, and I know there was no way he would be around at 20, I still see corner as our biggest need..... even while shazier was blowing up offenses, our secondary was still getting torched and seeing the corners who are still available in the 2nd makes me wonder if a mistake may have been made

Holmes toe tap for the winning SB TD was alone worth his trade up.

Or you shore up your defense which looks like we have. Keep the offense off the board as best as ya can

I haven't been here in awhile. I've been working on getting a new business off the ground but I figured I would stop in and say I love this pick.

Why not? Swann and Stallworth were huge contributors to 4 Super Bowl victories and their numbers are given out.

There are typically what 7 WR's on any given Steelers team not counting the practice squad that doesn't leave a lot of wiggle room in the number range for Wrs to not use 82 and 88. While ILB are typically at 3 or 4 so holding 58 and 59 doesn't limit the choices.
