He has what I like in measurables. Now if he has the other skill elements, then we've got a winner.

Well, Carnell Lake's coaching abilities will be on full display starting with camp. Burns and Goulston will be watched closely.

I don't know everything there is to know about Burns, and I don't get too hung up on numbers, but I keep hearing how he's a superb athlete, and he's got world class speed but the numbers tell a different story. He ran a 4.46. That's not even above avg for a cb, let alone world class speed. And he's a track runner. His vert was 31.5 inches? There were DT's that jumped that high. He had a 10'4'' broad. Thats not exceptional either. Ramsey jumped a foot farther. He also jumped 10 inches higher than Burns. Obviously Ramsey went much higher but I'm not the one or ones talking about how athletic Burns is. My question is why are these people saying these things about Burns? Why the two different realities?

 

A 4.46 40 is really good. Only 9 players ran sub 4.4 at the combine.

.05-0.1 seconds over 40 yards is nothing.

I think the lower vert is more troubling. That measures explosion and that is probably what hurts Artie's 40 time not getting off the blocks fast.

ABII has a long stride. I have absolute confidence he can match damn near any receiver on a deep route.

 

The more players with the initials AB the better.

Where is Anthony Brown projected to go? He had a great combine and the right initials.
