    Who cares?!

This team's new focus on team unity starting back in 2017 when they acquired players who fitted the "Hearts n Smarts" mantra. Patrick Peterson would have been the opposite of that then and by the time 2019 rolled around. Keep in mind you did say two years ago. Considering the league imposes lesser penalties for first time offenders, it is likely that Patrick has been a repeat offender given his suspension.

In short?! Much like Martavis, Patrick would have beem able to help for a limited time. Even if he could help in 2018, cornerback was one of the lesser reasons why Pittsburgh did not advance into the playoffs. The biggest issue was not adequately replacing Shazier.

Great front office deal by Steelers. Minkah plays with attitude and is a game changer.

I've become more excited for this year even with this w/l record. This team is a lot better than some of you doomsdayers preach.

He will have to learn Keith Butler's defense.
Rule #1. Never cover the Tight End.
Rule #2. Never have a spy on a running QB.
Rule #3. Above all else when it is 3rd and 24, make sure you let someone catch the ball 25 yards downfield.

So apparently we have up a 5th as well in 2020 but got a 4th back and also traded a 6th for a 7th in 2021

I'm trying to make sense of it.
I like the idea of a dynamic player in the secondary though.

Is Donte Moncrief apart of that "hearts n smarts" Mantra there looking for?.. If so then I'd rather stick with talented trouble makers like Pat Petersen then

This deal would have felt better if Ben was still playing. I have no idea what's in store the rest of the year.

Building for the future. I’d probably be more excited if I didn’t have to face the grim reality of Butler/ Tomlin somehow screwing this up too....

Why does everything have to be about Tomlin? It's clearly a move the organization made. Tomlin doesn't make all the decisions for the organization.

I am not sure why the organization felt desperate to make this deal at this time? Is someone injured? Who gets replaced? How does MF fit into the scheme? It will take several weeks for him to adjust to the Steelers. Only time will tell.

What am I missing here ? We traded a top 10 pick for a guy who has done exactly what in 1 year? He's never earned a pro bowl spot. He played 1 season (much of it as a backup) and then quit on his team.

Need I remind you we just traded one of the best players in the game to the patriots (via Oakland) for a 3rd rounder.

Btw I believe Davis is injured , it must be serious. Didn't the jags just offer up a probowl corner for a 1st rounder?

    So what's going on?

A:we believe Mason is the real deal
B: Ben is done in Pitt. That's a lot of cap space for FA signings so we don't need a top 10 pick
C: we think this next draft sucks
D: Colbert and/or Tomlin is desperate to save their job
E: we like this safety and Davis is done.
F: Al Davis just bought the steelers
    G: all of the above

I am wondering if Brett Veach of the Kansas City Chiefs wouls be inquiring about him. Among the teams that should be interested, Kansas City HAS to be one of them. If Kansas City is serious about a Super Bowl run, do what it takes to acquire Jalen Ramsey.

That way, not only does Kansas City have Patrick Mahomes, they have a defense to go with him. Why am I mentioning Kansas City you may ask?! At present, there really is not any other team I can think of that can take on New England in the AFC. Should KC get Jalen and capture the number one overall seed, beating New England will be more possible this time around.
