We lose this week then we are 1-4.

This means we'll probably have to go AT LEAST 8-3 the rest of the way, probably 9-2, to get a wildcard. Something tells me that won't happen. That would be hard for a great team to do.

As far as the division goes, it would put us 2 and a half games behind Baltimore. And 2 games behind Cleveland should they win. Being 2 games behind 2 teams is a tough spot.

And we only have 2 home games out our last 7 to end the season which doesn't help at all.

If we win and Cleveland loses, we lead the division with them. With Baltimore a half a game back of both.

A win this week might not make our season but it can break it. Huge week.

Yep. This is about as big as a week 5 game can be. We’re going to find out a lot about the intestinal fortitude of some of our younger players Sunday.

Yep. This week is key if we are going to compete for the division. If we win then somehow kept getting gradually better each week, it would meet the highest expectations anyone could possibly imagine for this season. It just sounds too good to be true.

I find it more intriguing actually when u have no expectations.. I'd rather have no expectations like now and see what the team can do then constantly underachieve like we've been doing year in and year out

I expect them to win the division every year including this one. After that I just hope they can put together a run in the playoffs, it's hard to win a SB without the Dark Hoodie.

Good OP. It's a little kick to the happy sack when you realize that we had a bad start and finish the season with 5 out of 7 games on the road:huh:

A win this week is monumental. Being 2-3 overall and 2-0 in the division owning a tiebreaker over the Ravens head to head would be huge. Their are a lot of winnable games remaining on the Steelers schedule that if they can get this game their chances of winning around 9 games is very possible which might be enough to win the division.

The winnable games remaining I feel on the Steelers schedule are the Dolphins, Colts, and Bills at home, and the Bengals, Cardinals, and Jets on the road. So if you win this week against the Ravens and win all or most of those 6 games I mentioned you only have to win one or two of the games you have with the Chargers, Rams, the two with the Browns and at the Ravens to finish up the year to get to around 9 wins which I feel will be good enough to win this division. So this week is huge to set that scenario up.

When you say it isn't healthy to spit up beer, do you mean:
    A. It isn't healthy to drink it again?
    B. It isn't healthy because it clearly wasn't in your stomach long enough to obtain the nutritional benefit?

For sure. Win and the Browns lose and we're technically leading the division. Lose and we're in a huge hole.

This is kind of crazy, but this is for sure a must-win game.

I look at every game as must win as each loss makes post season more difficult to get to. Our division is terrible so 8-8 could win it so this game this early in the season is as important as the first 4 games we've played.

We usually agree... but I have to disagree on this game. Next week's game scares the piss out of me. West coast game, Rivers to Allen with Vince covering Allen, Gordon gashing the D-line and ILBs, etc.

I do not fear the Ravens.
