The Ravens don't have a terrible defense. They have the league's best run defense and not just because teams have so much success throwing. They are first or second in the league in average yards allowed per carry. They went into that game in the top five in sacks and they force turnovers. They also used the mini-bye after a Thursday night game to revamp their coverage schemes, mostly by playing Hamilton back more often because teams had been tearing them apart over the middle.

Don't get me wrong. Wilson should have been able to do more against them, but their defense is better than the numbers indicated.

I wonder if this will end up feeling like a road game. I've seen tickets available for resale as low as $35. I expect to see a strong representation of Terrible Towels Thursday night.

It is funny they were talking about this being the Cheapest seats available for a Steelers game this year. Joking that for the price of a fast food meal delivery, fans could go to Cleveland and watch a Steeler's game. CRAZY!!!

Good points. What's also interesting is that the Steelers D stats were just about their season averages for total yds, rushing, passing and points against while Ravens O stats were all well below their season averages. What stood out was the time of possession differential of 37 minutes to 23. This was 5 minutes above avg for Steelers and 7 minutes below average for Ravens. Perhaps this is a bit distorted with the 17 pass incompletions for Jackson vs 13 for Wilson? The simple and meaningful stat was 3 Steeler FGs following 3 Ravens turnovers vs zero for Ravens and the 2 missed FGs. Lucky? Possibly. But as they say - you make your own luck and it is defined as preparation meeting opportunity. It was a bit disheartening though to watch the next game to see KC and Buffalo QBs move the ball so easily downfield with spot on passing and open receivers. Nostalgic for BB in his prime with all that young money.

There have been many games this season that the offense looked more like the 2023 version, but there have been good ones mixed in there, too.

Those things weren't luck or flukes. It's not like the Ravens were dropping passes, with the exception of the ugly one by Flowers on their touchdown drive. The Steelers did a good job on Jackson. They also moved the ball more consistently. They earned that big edge in time of possession.

Is there some luck involved in the other team missing two field goals? Maybe, but Boswell is better than Tucker. That wasn't always the case in the past, but now is an area that the Steelers are the stronger team.

Well, I think that no td's against the ravens can be a blessing in disguised. With all the talk about not scoring td's ... our focus will be locked in to prove the naysayers wrong. Which in turn will offset any remnants of a trap game.

I counter that Voodoo stat with the fact that Russell Wilson is undefeated against the Cleveland Browns in his Career. 3-0 Undefeated Baby!!! :)

It's hard to believe the Browns aren't scoring points with the talent they have on offense.

I bet a lot of people didn't know Russell Wilson was 1-2 against the Ravens in his career before Sunday. Now He's 2-2. He also has only scored 6 tds against them....5 were in one game.

Browns beat the Ravens if I remember right; better not take a divisional opponent for granted or we'll see another L on the record. And based on the weather forecast, it's going to be tough to score points....and likely hold onto the ball.
