I wonder if Troy's extension (Saturday before the team got on the plan for a week 1 away game) the latest we signed someone before the season?

Maybe a little more wiggle room here since it's a home game?

I'll be "optimistic" vs. my off-season long "it will get done at the last minute" prediction and say that he inks his extension on Friday.

And while I guess the chances of it not happening have increased, I'll still be surprised if he doesn't sign.

Speaking of being optimistic...while my season prediction was 8-8-1 (to preserve our 0.500 record streak!), I'll probably end up being overly optimistic in my week to week predictions because I can always convince myself that we'll win this week.
