We'll see what happens. I can see an avenue to a shorter suspension. The arbitrator can agree that Brady didn't cooperate enough with the investigation, but also determine that there was also insufficient evidence to say that its more likely than not that he knew about the deflation. In that case they could reduce the suspension to only cover the limited cooperation.

Wells defended his report in an interview yesterday declaring his report has direct evidence that Brady was involved, in a text from equipment assistant Jastremski he mentioned speaking to Brady, saying the QB knew McNally was stressed out by needing to deflate balls: Thats not circumstantial evidence, Wells said " that is two participants in a scheme discussing what has taken place. Wells said his findings would be strong enough evidence to convince a jury under the "preponderance of evidence" standard which is used in civil cases......

Yes agree with Wells. Let's not forget NO ball boys or equipment guys are going to deflate footballs without their star hall of fame Quarterback knowing. I think he also ask them to do it. If Brady would of turned over his messages to the NFL he would of got more then 4 game suspension.

I saw on Espn when on the sidelines during a game their back up quarterback came to Brady with 2 footballs to choose from, Brady gripped them both one at a time and pointed to the ball he wanted to use. He knew exactly how it should feel and he wanted all of them to feel in his grip. Nothing wrong with that but I think he wanted to go further and deflate them even more. I think this has been going on for a while and maybe years.

What gets me is how Belicheat got off free, especially with what happen to the coach in New Orleans.

I'm saying this is a marketing ploy from all involved. Do you think the NFL wants to kickoff the the season and the Patriots Super Bowl celebration with Brady out of the Stadium? Brady will appeal this down to a 3 game suspension with the agreement that he plays in the opener. Just my thoughts.

I could be wrong, but i don't think a player can pick and choose what week his suspenion starts

So now the new explanation of some of the texts is that McNally was called the deflator because he's trying to lose weight. Also, the whole "new kicks" thing was McNally wanting Jastremski to get him sneakers from the Pats, which was not allowed, and the "not going to espn yet" line was McNally saying relax I won't tell anyone about the sneakers. You can't make this crap up, yet the Pats ARE making it up. It's getting sillier by the minute.

I can't believe someone got paid (a lot of money) to invent that nonsense. Deflate=lose weight? LMAO. Why did they suspend him indefinitely then? Poor guy was just trying to get in shape and those monsters suspend him? :lolol:

I feel like I'm watching a really bad version of a few good men. you did nothing wrong then why suspend two people ? Substandard work. Then why not fire them? No they broke company policy. OK which? Umm we aren't sure.

In Bizarro World (New England) the spin is that the NFL suspended the equipment guy and the attendant.

Which is hilarious because they aren't employees of the NFL they are employees of the Patriots. So while they can be banned from anything having to do with an actual game suspension from their jobs has to come from the Patriots.I was reading their responses on NFL.Com and they are really building a house of cards. The ideal gas law works in their favor if and it's a big if Anderson used the right gauge for checking psi. OK so what if they used a different gauge then your scientific evidence doesn't apply.

The title of the article and the first sentence strongly implies that the NFL levied the suspensions. It takes until the second sentence when they say that it was the Pats who suspended them.
