Moving the game time is benefiting the steelers, instead of a rushed morning they have the whole morning to leisurely sleep in with a late wake up to start the day with plenty of time to prep before going to the stadium, before they would have had a 7AM wake up and had to be at the stadium by 10AM KC time, now they dont have to arrive untill 5PM KC time, this is a good thing and an unexpected advantage ...........

Looks like they've extended it to 2pm.
The thing with the roads is it was in the upper 50's low 60's several days earlier in the week. With the roads being treated with ice melting chemicals and the temperature hoovering around freezing they are not having as many problems with the roads as they thought. I think power outages are more of a concern as anything elevated is freezing. Tonight will be concerning because it's supposed to ice overnight.
I'm 180 miles east of KC and I just drove from Warrenton to St. Louis (50 miles) and back and roads were excellent. I have a feeling tomorrow morning will be different.

The only power outage KC needs to worry about is the Steelers being lights out! (seriously so corny that I probably should be banned for life from the whole internet and TTF I totally understand....)

Sounds like a Le'veon Bell game! With a side dish of Williams. When Ben needs to throw the ball hope he wears his glove. It's going to be slippery and we don't want to give the ball to KC.

They will do all they can to play the game, the winner must travel and it would give the Pats a huge advantage to take away a practice/rest day...

Of course they do, but it benefits the team with a travel day more than it does the home team........

Hour by hour still looks like the freezing rain will end by noon.
Just got off the phone with my buddy who's up there now and he said roads are great and it's just rain right now.
Some people that live up there my have a better outlook than me, but it looks like for the most part the storm along I-70 from St. Louis to KC has not been what they expected. That's good though.

I'm hoping your double posting is a foreshadowing of what Alex Smith will be seeing on D tonight - 2 x #92; 2 x #48; 2x #94 etc etc :thumbs up:

Right now, it looks like 34 and rain. As a fan in the seats, thats just miserable. Between that and possibly an early lead, maybe we can take the crowd noise out of the game?

I remember it being cold and 13 degrees is really cold! We should be fine in 34 degrees with a little sleet. Le'veon Bell, Le'veon Bell, and Le'veon Bell.

If they did something that stupid then they should move the game to Heinz field and play in what ever weather conditions that present themselves and then in the off season dome up Arrowhead and put a nice pretty skirt around the stadium.

I wrote that before I knew of any ice storm...

Living in the South we have more ice then snow so I get it. Last week when I was in Pitt for game...Atlanta was shut down ( sorta) all weekend and kids didn't have school for 2 days. Not equipped like up north.

Couple years ago I was stuck in8hrs of traffic and finally walked to a friend's and spent 3 day there ! Lol!

So again ...I wasn't being insensitive.
