Well, you seem to be reading more into my statement than I intended. All QBs have Thrown those types of picks, including greats like Brady, Manning and Mahomes. I’m simply stating that in my opinion we could have won that game without those critical errors. I still think our only potential pathway to win in the playoffs this season includes Wilson at QB.

I hope you have never been involved in any youth sports. Holy sh!t, imagine that post game talk after a loss. “You’re a bunch of losers and I don’t know why we even try, you all suck and will never win again”.

Personal attack aside..... Steelers should have won that game and blew it. Cowboys were down their 2 best defenders... same as Steelers being without Watt and Heyward. It was a good opportunity to sand-bag a win before the now annual December downfall.

I’m saying you can’t live in the past and hate the future. It’s a sport and losses happen. We could turn it all around, at least I hope they do. When the regular season ends, it ends.

Had Steelers beat the Cowboys when they were minus Lawrence and Parsons.... a win vs Bengals this Saturday would have won the North.

Beat the Browns and Cowboys as they should have and it's already locked up, but no, let's have two no-shows instead. That's Tomlin ball.

What has greater value? Winning this game against the Bungles or resting starters.

If you were Tomlin, what would you do?

You have to play the starters or at least plan on it. If you plan not to, and somehow the Browns beat the Ravens, the starters won't be mentally ready to go.

Wilson caused a 14 point swing in the Ravens game, fumbling near the goal line and throwing a pick 6. In the three losses the offense hasn't scored 20 points Wilson has to take some of the blame, he's holding the ball too long taking sacks and missing on some throws he was making earlier in the season.

Wilson does need to take some of the blame, yes.

But the OLINE has sucked, esp. vs KC. they showed up asleep, tired, or BOTH.

We were within 7, as was stated, late in the 3rd Q vs. the Rats, until the dam burst open with his horrendous pick 6. His worst play of the year, IMO.

this call for Fields is pure ignoramus, some here that are and other social media sites

You must be new to football

Pathetic teams are not in the playoffs

Actually pathetic teams are not in the NFL

You came to the right place to learn about football

The idea of resting players against Cincinnati and the fear of getting hurt is as dumb as doing the same thing in the last preseason game

Then you come out flat the next game

You can not come out flat in the playoffs and try to make it up later

The team is that bad, they can't afford to rest people this week, as they have to try and get some momentum back, and fix a few things on the field. If they were strolling into the post-season on fire, then yes by all means a rest a few. But that's not how The Steelers roll, every December/January has to be a disaster.

Steelers need all starters to play vs Bengals, Watt included, even if Ravens beat Browns. The entire team needs the snaps/reps.

I love the people who say Wilson taking sacks is because our o line sucks and if he had a better line he would be great. Hate to tell ya Wilson holding the ball didn’t just start this year. Article in SI today.
The first record is for most sacks taken. The mark is currently held by Tom Brady, who was sacked 565 times over the course of his 23-year career. Wilson has been sacked at a much higher rate, which is why he could actually top Brady's record, despite playing 10 fewer years. Wilson is going into his 13th season and through his first 12 years, he's been sacked an average of 43.9 times per season.

If Wilson hits that average in 2024, that would put him at 570.9 sacks, which not only would top Brady, but it would also top the unofficial record of 570 sacks

Cowher coached 15 seasons. Cowher had 7 total seasons without a playoff win. Tomlin has 7 consecutive seasons and counting. Being fired is unlikely but he might find the edge if he keeps going

We have to go all out to beat the Bengals. The Steelers lose this game and that means they travel to Baltimore in the first round with a very slim chance of winning. However if they win against Cincinnati and then they play at Houston where they at least have a chance of winning.

    soooo

    i think this 'depends'

we will lose, because the game will not be of importance in the long run.

The Ravens will win, and win the Division.

We will know that before kickoff. The Bungles have incentive, altho they will not get in b/c the Chiefs will roll over the Doncos will grab that #7 spot.

    sooooooo.......

Let them (the starters) get some reps. But really, to what end is a full game? To 'work some things out'? Really? They have sucked on offense for weeks (and defense for that matter), a final week vs. the Bengals won't work anything out.

STAY HEALTHY, get STRONGER in body. Anyone that is nicked up - sit them. Let the starters play maybe a quarter, sort of like Pre-Season, but then sit them. We cannot afford an injury here.

    Sit 100%:
TJ, Cam, Minkah, Elliott, most of the oline where we can, our RB's, Pickens,

I mean - really, what benefit is it to play most of these guys at all if BALT wins? IF we cannot go into HOU with a healthy rested and well PRACTICED team and WIN, then FIRED all the COACHES asses!

If we lose to the Bengals we won't be going to Houston, we will be playing at the Ravens. This Bengals game decides our playoff fate. The Steelers have almost no chance of going into Baltimore and winning but at least a 50/50 chance of winning at Houston. If we were locked into the #5 seed then absolutely rest everyone but if we lose to the Bengals we slip to the #6 seed.
