some saw it coming, a few thought it was WELL in the realm of possibility, after the CLE crap-fest in late NOV.

here we are, your 2024 PITTSBURGH STEELERS!!!

it is very Tomlinesque, for those of you who study HISTORY

I told my Cowboys fan brother that Steelers won't win another game after loss to Ravens. He asked how in the hell Cowboys beat the Steelers. Told him Dak shredded our overrated D and offense couldn't score on a defense without their best 2 players. He fell asleep at halftime.

Probably so, which is why I would treat it like a preseason game and rest anyone who is slightly dinged or needs rest. Ravens will take division regardless, and the chance to go into playoffs on a roll? Well that ship has sailed

Devil if you devil if you don't but the thee in eleven days probably warrants lower play counts for key guys. If we see watt, highsmith, cam or Wilson in late would be really dumb. We had them in late against the chiefs If I recall which made no sense.

Heck no we have to win the Bengals game, we lose and we have to go to Baltimore with absolutely no chance of winning there. Beat the Bengals and we travel to Houston where we should have a 50% chance of winning.

I think Wilson could've done more against that Dallas defense than what Fields did by only scoring 17 points.

With the exception of the last game against the Ravens, the Steelers have owned them for quite some time. Stroud on the other hand beat the Steelers pretty handedly last time they played them. Think I'd rather take our chances with Lamar and the Ravens.

Tomlin knows they must beat the Bengals. If they take the week off and lose the Steelers will be embarrassed round 1. If they win the Steelers play the Texans which should be a winnable game and prevent tomlin from extending his franchise record number of years without a playoff victory.

I'm actually dumbfounded by this response. I can't imagine anyone would rather take on the Ravens instead of the 9-7 Texans who just got demolished 31-2 by Baltimore.

Very different Texans team then. Stroud is in a serious sophomore slump and they have lost Diggs and Dell.

That said the Texans would love to play the Steelers and would probably see that as the easiest matchup for them. I’d see the game as a toss up

They’d need a miracle in Baltimore unfortunately

The Texans and Steelers are the 2 worst teams in the AFC playoffs. The fact that one of them will probably play the Chiefs in the second round gives Kansas City a free ride to the AFC championship game.

Nothing has changed. I am still predicting the Steelers to end on a 5 game losing streak.

Bengals are in a must win, and the Steelers will get beat bad in Baltimore.

5 games. They ain’t winning in the playoffs either. This team has very little fire.

Losing one game against a Super Bowl Caliber opponent is one thing. Losing two in a row is another. Three in a row?! All of them being blowouts?!

    Oof....

Cincy next week is essentially must win. This is also likely without Joey Porter Jr... so that makes this game much, much more difficult as a whole. Add in the Offense that still cannot find any rhythm in the end zone and Pittsburgh losing to Cincy isn't as implausible as it seems.

It's not implausible at all as Vegas has the Bengals a 1.5 point favorite on the road against us. Even though we have the better record and are at home the Bengals are tabbed as the betting line favorite because they are on a hot streak and the Steelers have looked bad in their last 3 games.

Some though say that it is a win; regardless of what the Vegas odds favor to. Not saying I disagree with you but others are not convinced.

They are quite capable of beating the Bengals again, but which Steelers team will show up? Same story for the last several seasons of a Tomlin coached team.

Bengals will win this game by at least 2 scores. Where's the pick'em thread for this week?

    nope

i thought they would beat the lowly Browns, in Pittsburgh - BUT IT WASN'T EASY! one late INT in the 4th Q from averting disaster!

we all need to get better at reading comprehension....

but, we are mediocre, as I expected , with MEDIOCRE MIKE at the helm, once again!!!!

that playoff game vs. HOU will be ONE MISERABLE GAME TO WATCH!

2 of the worst teams in the playoffs in a number of years. We have worn that hat for some of those years!!!!! ANY OF THE NFC teams would most likely beat BOTH HOUS and US
