I guess that’s a bad sign for Holcomb

It’s not a guarantee Holcomb will come back from his significant injury

I don’t think so. They’re being very closed lipped regarding his injury. Signing another 3 down linebacker for 15 million per screams Holcomb is done to me

You could be right. Be nice to have some quality depth though.

They could not risk him returning

If he does then icing on the cake

I like the signing of Queen, It needed to be done in some form. He is a very solid player.

Unfortunately this might spell the end of Holcomb.

He was on point to start the season on IR. Reports are saying it could possibly be career ending. Maybe keep him on IR. Liked the signing. Freak thing led to this.

    Now get a corner Khan...

We got him. Donte Jackson in a trade for Dionte Johnson. Jackson has 14 career picks and runs a 4.31.

Saw that. Still need corner help. But he can play outside as well as the slot. 5'10" is a bit light for some of these top tiers though.

Signing Queen is huge. I can’t recall a big time FA signing with us in recent years. I still have reservations if Queen can be as productive w/o Smith next to him, but I like our aggressiveness

Queen is the highest paid outside free agent they have ever signed, his APY is over 13 million a year.

Actually we have to eat $6 million of Dionte's contract (per overthecap). Trade actually cost us $1 million in cap space.

Yes he was the Robin in baltimore but he will be our Batman here. Was a big need with the uncertainty of Holcomb.

Khan and Weidl are changing the tide in free agency. And have hit paydirt in most cases. I like it. A breath of fresh air.

He had one year remaining on his contract. With the trade, the Steelers will save $10 million against the cap while absorbing $5.8 million in dead money.

So it looks like the savings are 4.2 mill. I believe the dead cap can be spread out.

this say's 500,000. looks like these were actually pretty cheap. we have move's left to be made. we could possibly re-do donte's contract to help out. i hope he's not done yet.

What reports? I haven't seen anything viable about Holcomb. I haven't seen much at all, which isn't a good sign.

They couldn't count on him returning. If he does, he starts along with Queen. If not, Roberts and Queen are the starters.

i also worry about our young corner that has had several lower body injuries in his short college and pro career so far. these are guys that you better have a backup plan for. kwon the same way, two of the same injury. that's holcombs second knee injury. part of the game though. both he and watts injury were friendly fire too. it happens.

I keep seeing fans post that Holcomb is done, or most likely done. I can find nothing about his injury other than ‘significant knee injury’. It ended his season so obviously ‘significant’. But other than that are there any details about the injury? Why is it assumed career ending now?

The only other detail I’ve seen is no timetable for return. That doesn’t bode well for him
