We should forfeit our playoff spot

We're limping into the playoffs at 11-5 or 12-4, if a miracle occurs.

We're not winning a game in the playoffs this year, so might as well get a better draft spot for next year.

You think I'm joking but I'm really not. Thinking big picture. This team is D-O-N-E and so is Ben.

We’re still 11-2 and a very capable football team. 12-4 or 13-3 may not be worthy of the #1 seed but it’s more than we need to be in the dance. We just need to get healthy before the playoffs.

 

I'd believe that if our offense wasn't found out. Balt and WFT exposed that the Steelers (Ben) can't throw accurately deep anymore. I don't see how you're gonna rectify that.

 

Steelers Dolphins is currently the matchup.

 

So this is our 31st Playoff appearance in the SB era. We made it to 8 Bowls. Should we have forfeited the other 23?

 

Why would any team, ever, ever, even consider forfeiting a playoff spot? This may be one of the silliest things I've ever read here, and I've read a lot of silly stuff here.

This is ridiculous. The Giants snuck into the playoffs and beat the unstoppable Patriots.

If we get in, anything can happen, but I agree that we are not playing well enough to advance.

There needs to be some significant changes on the offensive side of the ball. So far there's no signs of them doing anything different.

By nature, I'm a pretty pessimistic person but you sir have taken it to a whole new level.

Healthy? We were the healthiest we've been on offense for some time with Pouncey and Conner back and we scored the least amount of points so far this year. Defense isn't our issue as 6 of the Bills 9 points at the half was complements of Ben. Of course, lack of halftime adjustments from coaching staff doomed them in the second half. I believe we have the talent to still do some good things but something is wrong systemically with all 3 phases of the game for us.

 

That won't last as we're not done dropping games and that'll probably make who we play even more difficult. Dolphins are hard enough, although getting spanked pretty good yesterday, that their defense would be a horrible match for our high school offensive play.

 

Yes but our defense completely melted down during the 2nd half. You cant convince me that a healthy secondary and linebacking core couldn’t of made a difference in that 2nd half.

I do however feel after Bens pick 6 our defense seemingly gave up. And yes, offense wasn’t good at all but being healthy on both sides of the ball does make a difference. Defense motivates offense - Offense motivates defense. Our play calling needs to be less predictable as well but I’m still all in with my Steelers.

This is still a good football team all things considered (covid scheduling changes, lack of practices etc...)

Instead of forfeiting, I suggest the Steelers hire a hit-man to take out Fitchner. By the time anyone found out, we would have #7
