I'm surprised no one has beat me to this.

After reading the title, the first thing I thought of was...(correct me if I'm off a bit)...

we need to win loose no more

Video games really skew reality, sometimes.

I agree 100% with Snack on this. Even the supposedly great 49 defense last year lost games against Flacco and Romo. They played alot of the same teams that we played (our division and their division, and I would rather face the Cardinals, Rams, Seahawks twice as opposed to Ravens, Bengals, and even Browns twice). Our D played well against Brady, one of the best QBs in the league.

again i agree. we did sign cotchery, brandon johnson, will johnson, van dyke who after a couple of days had a good game for what we needed from him, leonard pope, last year saunders and kapinos again. it's not like we've been silent. these guys are pretty decent patches i think.

I always hear this garbage about how it takes defensive linemen several years to learn our schemes. This is football not brain surgery! What could possibly take more than a season to learn about the position you've been playing probably all your football life? And if it is true, wouldn't it make more sense to sign free agents who played in a similar system rather than draft them? Especially high draft picks.

...and conversely football players are not brain surgeons either. I think that may be your answer...

I know this Bobby but they're basically being asked to hold up 2 offensive linemen so the linebackers can make plays. Shouldn't be that difficult if you got the skills. Maybe our current group doesn't have the skills and we're just making excuses?
